from the direct swap can you tell they play much lower than your old subs with authority?
Even with the DAD BD 12s which had an fs of 28hz still sounded mechanical at 21hz, specifically with the song I Cook ( Mega Screwed by Big Pimpin )...These subs do not produce that same sound on the same song...
Like I stated above - I just can't get over that I am now able to play this low...previously bottoming out was something you needed to be careful of when playing the low stuff (below 25hz)....not anymore, these subs have more than enough throw to get the job done! I can't imagine what builds are gonna be like in the future with these things....especially with the 15's and 18's
I see what you mean but I don't see how even with the BD's being tuned to 26hz and you can't play 25hz without bottoming out, you should be able to play into the high teens maybe lower before risking damage, you positive that box is tuned so low? by the looks of it the port seems kinda big for the tuning unless there's a bunch of L's inside the box to keep the length going, regardless I wanna see more vids of this thing! you think you could put some more power to them with ease?

was that 14.4 voltage right as you started charging it or after the 3 hours? my charger on a 2 amp charge won't go above 13.0, bring it up to 20amp and if I leave it too long it will climb up to 15.5 which is not too good for 12v batteries for long periods of time. Hope yours didn't do the same thing

not even that, like many others, IMO the XL is DC's best sub

i'd stick to the XL's

Can be used for daily just like the btl n3s can play music just fine
-
how many SA? you shouldn't have issues with 2 on that 2500 if you're careful with it.

When will y'all be doing another round of 18+ entry? I joined right after the last one

I had the same issues with my DC bass knob, just ditch it and get a pac LC1 like stated above.

i'm all for those new baskets, but for those that can't afford the custom tooled baskets like the original lvl 6's, i'd love to see some TI baskets or TI replicas at least.
My favorite basket out right now...
None better IMHO...
same, there's no reason for a typical 4" coil motor not to work on a 15" basket, using the correct basket that is.......

looking and sounding good man.. those super tweets will really help out the highs.
yeah I agree, they should at way more plus I can run the amp on down to 2ohm it's run at 4ohm now...
I really hope you plan on getting some passive crossovers if you're gonna run a tweet and mid per channel

ear o meter i'm guessing my car is doing mid to low 130's with a single SA-8v2 on a DC3.5k at 2 ohm.

what's with all the prefabs in the back of the truck

I am really tempted to send out my Power 1000, but I don't think I trust any of the carriers taking it all the way to Sacramento. That is a sick cart though, should be nice for wheeling right up to a vehicle to test.
Do you still have the original packaging? Just box it up real nice.
they'll still find a way to fuck it up though

i'd suggest 2.25-2.5 net per sub, tuned low
-
if you have to ask, just follow the rated power, doesn't take a shit ton of power to get them moving, they're rated at 1750 for a reason.

apparently high enough to cause issues, gain at half leads me to think that you only need to turn up the headunit a little amount before they get moving pretty good, unless you have shit preout voltage most amps won't even be turned up to half way if the setup is tuned properly.
