question. where should i have my gain for my kenwood 2volt deck, the deck maxes at 35 and i no a few ppl that said it does not clip at max. i have everything on my deck at 0 i dont have a dd-1 or anything but is there a way someone can tell me where i should have my gain. my gain is up past 1oclock i have my deck at 25 and if i play with the sub level control like +1 and up it dont get louder just sounds like shit (clipping) if i go -1 or below its not as loud......so hopefully someone can point me in the right direction

there were times where i smelled my box and it smelled alittle bit and at those times i didnt have my system on at all, and i played it full tilt and the smell didnt get stronger it just stayed the same. its not the sub cuz i upgraded subs and i had my soundstream subs for a year with that box and there was nothing wrong with it. its a box made by atrend its karbon kandy kolor..idk what kind of glue they use in there box but even my amp gets really warm as well..it just gets hot as hell in my car

i mean i have fatmat rattle trap on my trunk lid..its not a really really strong smell, just just odd smelling. its not a burnt coil smell or anything like that..it has done this for as long as i had my box witch is alittle over a year

i dont play my shit full tilt when its really hot out, i normally wait till night time when there cool..and i didnt play my subs today..i went out around 4pm and subs where pretty warm and smelled inside the box....so just the silicone in the box and that?

when its hot as shit out and the sun is beating on your trunk does it smell inside your box? like today was really hot like 86 degrees and sunny and when i went in my trunk my subs where warm and my box smelled weird..is this the silicone inside the box just getting hot or what?

lol i thought about the skar 's but the sundown's seemed to handle more power and get louder, i could be wrong but that is just from what i heard.

lol well i hope you are happy with your sa's im very happy with mine, my box doesnt give my subs a chance to shine since its a prefab box..

and why would my subs get stinky on my aq1200? only if im clipping the fuck out of them and im not, they have yet to get warm on me. only time they get warm is from it being hot out and the sun beating on my trunk but that is normal with any system. and no 3 cubes is not small at all, the box im getting is 3.73 cu feet tuned at 34 with 6inc areoport and the guy from sundown said that is a perfect box..

i never knew this lol i was not sure if it was a big deal..i have a prefab box but getting a box from dave the box guy so was not sure if prefab boxes have alot of box rise since there junk as shit..

i just really wanna no what it is and if it matters or not..cuz alot of factors play into weather or not if (will this be louder)

i no this is going to be a dumb question but i have no idea what box rise means...i no alot of factors play when upgrading your system because its hard to tell if its going to be louder because of box rise, what is box rise? does it effect how loud the subs are gonna be and is box rise difference with other boxes?

doesnt the low pass filter play a part in the lows as well? low pass filter normally start from 20hz so if it is set at 80hz it will play 20 to 80hz?

low pass filter-80hz sub sonic filter-30hz you dont wanna have your sub sonic filter lower then that because the low pass filter plays a part in it as well. gain-depends on your head units pre out volts bass boost-OFF

those amps are underrated, i never had one but from what i heard and seen, they will do great
