ok.
that is something i did not know about, when running the remote gain cord, can i run it beside where my power wire is? or will that cause noise
-
thank you very much helping me setting my gain, now i no where it needs to be, also another question for you if this makes sense.
i have a prefab box, its better then alot of the market but when having a prefab box do you attend to clip your signal more because the box dont
put out enough?
make sense

great video man, glad you showed me this. just to get it right in my head.
so its almost like its constant but its blinking alittle bit, as long its not glowing solid red
correct=)
-
lol i dont blame you, but if the man says blinking red is fine and solid red is clipping then i will listen to that
does it have to blink alot or here and there? just as long as its not constantly on? just blinks here and there?
-
lol yea true, and yes i went to his house before and i got a new head unit and i cant get ahold of him now, its the same head unit i had but wanted to see
where this one clipped
so blinking red is fine?
-
ok i will do that.
i no some people let it solid red but they said it dont mean anything cuz its not accurate.
-
but is there a way to tell if your clipping from it? i do not have access to a dd-1
also i have my gain on the amp at 10:00 postion and i gotta turn my remote gain all the way to max to reach where it is on the amp, is that correct?
-
i finally got a audioque remote gain for my amp because the one that came with it was damanged and i never sent it back till last week but, how does it work tho? i no some people said where your amp gain is at the remote gain will not go past that, also how accurate is the clipping light on it? when it blinks am i clipping or solid red? i no a few people said when it says your clipping your really not so im confused

i learned when i was 18, my friend had a system in his car and it was 2 12 l5s on a memphis 1000w amp, man did i think that shit was loud so i went out and
bought a system, i got 2 10 old school kickers in a bandpass box with a kenwood 800w amp, i had alot of system since then but i learned alot from a few friends
and since alittle over a year ago, i learned alot from a friend i ment that has been in car audio for 12 years and this site helped alot! i wouldnt no alot of the stuff
without this site. everyone on this forum learns something new.

im looking for a sundown lanyard, i cant seem to find any online, not sure if they make them or not
-
are decks are pretty close, i was actually gonna get the deck you have..mine is 2 volts tho
-
-5db track with the dd-1 and set sub level to +15
-
what model is yours again?
-
o hahah my bad
alright man, hope it works for you=)
-
you really dont wanna go below 30 cuz that will take away from your mid's and high's..so i'd leave it on +11 and volume 30
what model is yours again
-
ok..well is that louder then how you had it? if so leave it on that
-
try to go to volume 30 and turn the sub level up and see what that does.
i have a kenwood kdc-mp342u
-
what kenwood do you have that clips on +1
-
did you try to turn ur sub level up all the way to +15?
kenwoods need to be up all the way because if not then you wont have voltage coming out of your pre outs and that will lack performance
i no you said you had it at +7 but try abit higher maybe 9 or 11
-
a soft clip is not gonna hurt your subs.
you got to turn the sub level control up all the way or pretty damn close to get voltage out of the pre outs, so turn that up and set everything and you should notice
a difference
-
anyone else
-
ya its a kenwood
if i go to +11 its a hair louder but anything else above that is not
-
i dont have a manual..my friend has one but he lives about an hour away..i didnt ask him this stuff.
so would i be safe if a go to +11 instread of +9 on my sub level control or leave it whre i am
-
so with doing -5 does that mean it can be turned up abit more and i wont clip?
sorry if its a dumb question the whole dd-1 is new to me
Does carpeting a box make a difference?
