  1. and for fusing it can i do a 150 amp fuse on both positive runs or is that 2 much?
  2. i need help with my wiring i'm running 2500 watt amps,a basic battery up front and a kinetic in the back,i was gonna do 4 runs of 4 guage or 2 guage,2 positive and 2 negative but i'm not sure how i do it,i've seen steve doin it but i'm not sure,i know one goes to a fuse block then runs to the back,do i do 2 off the battery or 1 off the battery and 2 off the block?and with the grounds do i ground one in the back by the batterys and the other to the - on the kinetic?and i do 2 runs of + to my amps off the backbatterys and have 3 differnt grounds, one for each amp and one for the back battery?i believe thats right just wanna make sure
  3. i counted six for the box i got now which is 44x20x20.but after port displacement i need 7.5 - 8 cubic feet so this should be good,it was wrong because the port was for the groos volume instead of after displacement thats why it was wrong i see my mistake, thatnks for your help
  4. thanks i'll let you know how it goes this weekend, ealier i was tuning my stereo and i been playin it on 27 -30 of 40 since its so loud i was scared to turn it up so i went to my old house and turned it on 30 and watched to see how much it moved and i seen i could turn it up all the way so i did and i watched it and it seemed safe, so after playin music and watchin it at full volume i decided to sit in it and here it,well after listening to it for about 10 seconds of a song i decided to put in my usaci cd and i played a 39hz track and got to enjoy it for about 2 seconds before hearin the sub drop and beat out the baffle,so i'm gonna double baffle the next one : )
  5. so after port displacement with tht bif of a port that'll be 6 cubic feet but if i build a new box thats 44x26x20 external and after port displacement with the same 36.34" port it'll be 8.5 which is what i want, how'd you come up with 36"s,winsid told me 29
  6. if i do 44x24x20 i want 7.5 cubic feet after port displacement and i wanna keep the port at 18.5 x 6.5 but how do i get a tune to 32hz,i built my box according to winsid beta specs, and it was supposed to be at 32hz but it picks up around 35hz
  7. welll the port is thirteen inches back and 16 inches for the elbow but do i just count the wood for displacement or the 6.5" x 18.5" thats what i dont know how to calculate for port displacement
  8. my box demensions are 44x20x20 which is 8.5 cubic feet and my port is 18.5x6.5 which is 120 square inches but my port has to twenty nine inches long so i had to elbow it,so does the box that that shape makes equal a new box volume or is it still 8.5 cubic feet?
  9. sorry it took so long to get back but yea thats what i meant to deduct 3/4" off from the baffle to where measuring it from the back of the port to the front of the baffle would have to be what it says, like if it says 15" to make it 14 and 1/4" then add the 3/4" for the baffle
  10. i alerady built my box and i'm takin a shot at soundin like a dumbass but thats the price sometimes when you wanna learn, when you build a box and you build the port do you take the 3/4" off of it when you port it for the port length?i didn't think about that till just now lol,
  11. yea its a pa3000db,i love it i had it on a solo x 18 and it slammed,i'm gettin another for christmas, and im savin for another btl,
  12. yea its braced with 2 2x4's,first time bracing, its gonna be pushed with 2300rms and its tuned to around 32hz, first time building a ported box,its goin in a 98 durango,i wanna build a new to try some new things but it should work for now, only the 3rd box i've ever built but only one ported
  13. no unfortunately, kinda good for me though.it didnt look to good lol,my girl had her phone and was at work when i started,i gotta use her phone to take pics
  14. its not done yet,i stil got more body filler and to prime and paint but i'll be gettin my sub(fully loaded btl 18) wednsday,so i have plenty of time, box is 8 cubic feet with 110 square inches of port
  15. well they said 2 ssd 18's would bat a btl but im thinkin of 2 btl 18's with the 3rd magnet and the coils with 2300 rms on each one,my box can be up to 18 cubic feet how big should i use tuned to 32hz
  16. i wanna do 3 ss8 18's in my durango with 2300rms to all 3 and the box will be 30 cubic feet the deminsions are 53"x39x25 with a port thats 10"x12" it needed 420 square inches of port and i think it was 4 inches deep to make it 32hz is that right? it will be 2 18's on to with the port between them and the 3rd 18 under the port?does that sound good?or 2 18's in 19 cubic feet and 285 square inches of port the deminsions for that are 41"x37"x20" subs up port back
