  1. I dont mind components and ive thought of going that route again. I had the image synamics ctx65cs and loved tjem. But this go around im on a budget. And i figured with the 6 1/2's and 5 1/4's its more surface area. The reason for two different sizes is because i cant fit 6 1/2's at the top how i want to do my doors. I seen a guy who did his doors this way and it was fairly cheap and effective. Substage is 2 skar vd 12's

  2. I dont want this to be a vs thread. Im looking into the ivx 12 and vd 12. My box is .95 cubic ft before displacement. So im hoping after sub displacement and some polyfil the sub will think its in about .95- 1. If i go with the ivx i will have to make a spacer since my depth is only 5.5". Even without the polyfill i will still be within specs of sealed box. But my concern is the sub not venting properly if its right against the box? On the other hand if i get the vd sub i wont have to make a spacer but ill be a little low on volume. Only by like .5 which i doubt is audible. I dont have my amp yet as i was waiting till i decide on subs. Im sure ill be happy either way but am i over looking anything? Or ami just making things complicated?

  3. well i been looking around at getting boat trailer for a while and well if you dont know anything about them basic price is around $600 at academy for a cheap one but only holds 600-700lbs. for about $1000 i can get one rated for 1000lbs.the boat im looking at ways 500lbs no motor no nothing basically. but i found a utility trailer for $250 and its rated for 1200lbs.all id have to do is get a piece of square tubing to extend the tongue, that would run like an extra $150 for the tubing.and then id just have to make bunks for the boat to sit on which is the easy part,so for like $400-$500 i could have my boat trailer. what do you guys think?

  4. well right now i have the ctx65cs components and i love them.but i need to bring my soundstage up so im thinknig the 4x6's cause they'll go in no problem.but i can do a lil modding and fit 5 1/4's so my question is wil the 5 1/4's be that much louder. i want it to sound good and im scared with the 5 1/4s they might be a lil to loud and i'll have to turn them down there for defeating the purpose if that makes sense

  5. thats actually the plan (kinda)i was about to bite the bullet and spend $400 on an arc amp for 180rms x 2 @4ohms or an image dynamics amp for the same power but now for half the price i got twice the power.still deciding on what components to run.i wanna try active and pro audio but cant see spending the money for an experiment when i kno i can spend the same money on components and be happy

  6. well i was strolling around the pawn shop and they happen to have 2 t3002 amps in great condition and are asking $129 a piece. i know there rated at 50x2 but most birthsheets i see are around 180-225 rms x2 @ 4 ohms which is what im lookin for 150rms + for my image dynamic comonents.plus i know rockford has good sq and $250 is better then $400 i was gonna spend on an arc 300.2 or image dynamics amp

  7. well ive got a 20% coupon for harbor freight and ive been eyeballin some of the welders for a while now.i kno there not the best but im not gonna be welding anthing major.i really just wanna get one to learn how to weld.it wouldnt be for anything thick the thickest thing would be some some thin angle iron to a piece of 3/16" trailer tongue. im just curious as to what would be better cause i know nothing about welding heres a few i was lookin at
