  1. Looks nice!!! And no offense, but you won't see 50+ hp from intake and exhaust unless you get it tuned. You will see gains as is due to the fact it is leaning your mixture up some and flowing better on the exhaust, every hp claim I have ever seen from a company even the ones with dyno charts is just smoke and mirrors and marketing. BUT....LOOKS great and the sure does sound good too, more aggressive.

the exhaust has been proven from the dyno's i have been looking at and not just from the manufacturer. The intake too. Even if its most of the claim i will be happy because it will look and sound sick as hell.

I would think that you would get more HP Steve because it looks like there is that Ram Air aspect connected to the air-box so you're getting more than just one direction of cold air flowing into the intake. 50 sounds possible, but only with a tune for it and the new exhaust. Even without the tune you'd be looking at a solid 20-25 to the wheels. And i just gotta say that that has to be one of the CLEANEST factory engine compartments I've ever seen, Props man!

  2. Ok, yeah, I probably won't upgrade after the new speakers and amp, I'll be focusing on what's going under the hood. i just figured from the specs that i have seen that with most of the components, the RMS seems around 60-80 for many, and that way i caould always get a bigger amp and not use the FULL potential of it, and hope it will last for a good while.

You will be running an amp at 4 ohms, shouldn't be a strain on the amp at all. If it is, get a better amp. A good 100x4 amp will run 4 sets of components just fine.

Ok cool, i'll deff take that into consideration. Thanks

  3. best way to decide it to go out and listen to some. that is also LOTS of power for 4 sets of speakers. If you plan on adding more later down the road then I would say go with that much power and just set your gains low. If you are not going to upgrade later, get something with less power.

  4. This is my fisrt build so far, in fact it was my first car, a 2004 40th Anniversary Edition convertible Mustang. 2 days after I had gotten the keys in my hand a buddy and myself replaced the whole system with Alpine type S coaxials, a Pioneer deck, Visonik 12" sub in a small box from a Jeep, and a Kenwood 600 watt amp. For about 8 months it was just enough for me while i was still in high school. Hell it was the loudest in the parking lot and that was good enough for me. Once I graduated i ment a guy who had just opened his own stereo shop, Kustom Akoustiks in Roseburg, Oregon. He then helped me get what i have now, 12" Powerbass L series sub in an custom small box made to mold into the trunk, a Sounstream Evolution 1500 watt monoblock amp, and a Rockford 1 farad cap. For a convertible it hit's hard enough for me to set off the alarms around my college, which makes me smile every time haha. Future mods would include new component speakers from either Memphis or Powerbass, along with a 600-1000 watt 4-channel to power them and round out the entire system.
