  1. the exhaust has been proven from the dyno's i have been looking at and not just from the manufacturer. The intake too. Even if its most of the claim i will be happy because it will look and sound sick as hell. I would think that you would get more HP Steve because it looks like there is that Ram Air aspect connected to the air-box so you're getting more than just one direction of cold air flowing into the intake. 50 sounds possible, but only with a tune for it and the new exhaust. Even without the tune you'd be looking at a solid 20-25 to the wheels. And i just gotta say that that has to be one of the CLEANEST factory engine compartments I've ever seen, Props man!
  2. Sounds sick, props most def. Should slap real hard and be sure to piss my neighbors off even more haha!
  3. Yeah, but like I said, so far I've been very impressed with Powerbass products.
  4. I would pick speakers that sound good, who cares if they match up. Yeah, i'm already running 5 different brands, but ideally it would be nice to run all of the same stuff...hope for a sponsorship i guess haha
  5. You will be running an amp at 4 ohms, shouldn't be a strain on the amp at all. If it is, get a better amp. A good 100x4 amp will run 4 sets of components just fine. Ok cool, i'll deff take that into consideration. Thanks
  6. Ok, yeah, I probably won't upgrade after the new speakers and amp, I'll be focusing on what's going under the hood. i just figured from the specs that i have seen that with most of the components, the RMS seems around 60 - 8O for many, and that way i caould always get a bigger amp and not use the FULL potential of it, and hope it will last for a good while.
  7. Haha, and the Powerbass brand is still inexpensive compared to Memphis at the moment.
  8. 4 of what size? 6.5" components? Yeah, 6.5" is what i figured would work quite nicely
  9. I was thinking the same, i have been really impressed with the Powerbass line, they are completely underrated on power.
  10. Just the 4 that are in the cabin, I figure as a DD I don't need to go deaf just yet haha
  11. Sorry about the dirt on the box, the day before we had a showcase he dicided to cut some wood next to my box and got all the sawdust on it
  12. This is my fisrt build so far, in fact it was my first car, a 2004 40th Anniversary Edition convertible Mustang. 2 days after I had gotten the keys in my hand a buddy and myself replaced the whole system with Alpine type S coaxials, a Pioneer deck, Visonik 12" sub in a small box from a Jeep, and a Kenwood 600 watt amp. For about 8 months it was just enough for me while i was still in high school. Hell it was the loudest in the parking lot and that was good enough for me. Once I graduated i ment a guy who had just opened his own stereo shop, Kustom Akoustiks in Roseburg, Oregon. He then helped me get what i have now, 12" Powerbass L series sub in an custom small box made to mold into the trunk, a Sounstream Evolution 1500 watt monoblock amp, and a Rockford 1 farad cap. For a convertible it hit's hard enough for me to set off the alarms around my college, which makes me smile every time haha. Future mods would include new component speakers from either Memphis or Powerbass, along with a 600-1000 watt 4-channel to power them and round out the entire system.
