  1. gonna try that after i get this 3rd out. also what about the amp settings? what should i have those at? umm theres your problem. turn all that shit to off and 0. that is why you are blowing your woofers up. also, put your low pass to like 80hz.
  2. i just sent him a custom design request through his new website. i've tried the torres calculator, but don't really know what i'm doing on it with a ported enclosure. thanks for the advice about the airspace, i'm about to go out and remove one of the 15's and re-wire the others to 2ohms and see what that does for me. ram design is a good person to ask, you can try doodling with torres tuning calculator and see what you can come up with yourself and then post it upand get help from there, best way to learn is to try as much as you can yourself and have your wrongs corrected
  3. there is a bass boost set on. loud is on high, sla on +4, low pass on 50hz, high pass on 125hz do you have any bass boosting features enabled on your headunit? ideally to tune gains you must have your entire equalizer set on 0 or off or flat. there should be absolutely no reason for your subwoofers to blow unless there are wrong settings somewhere.
  4. could you direct me to a person who can design it? i can build myself, just need help on the design aspect.
  5. my bad, i said the wrong thing at the top of the page, but if you look at #15, which is about where you came in the conversation by the way, i clearly say the correst ratings. 3000max, 1700rms. so, a misunderstanding on both our parts. but, back to the topic at hand. i don't really turn my stereo volume more than half way. i believe i have it set correctly. it's a pioneer deh-p6800mp. gain at 1/3 means absolutely nothing. and it could be anything. you playing clipped songs, clipping your headunit by using some setting on it, volume too high, voltage drop leads to clipping as well.
  6. you clearly aren't reading what i'm writing since i NEVER said the subs were 3000rms. before you try to make me look stupid, read whats written
  7. i know the amp isn't pushing what it's rated, i already said that. but if my boost is all the way down, gain at 1/3, how can i be clipping them?
  8. i'm using power acoustik mofo152X 2 ohm dual voice coil. don't have an oscope, and wouldn't know how to use one. can tell you that i had bass boost all the way down and gain at about 1/3 up. rated at 3000max 1700rms
  9. i think the amp is too strong for just 2. it is a power acoustik bamf5500, which i know doesn't push what it is says it does, 3200rms@1ohm, but i blew one sub, got new one and amp was trying to blow that one too.
  10. actually because i think i'm losing a lil with the single 15 where it's at. my seat doesn't fold down, but it has an armrest that i removed for sound to come directly in the cabin. it just seems like it hit just a lil harder without the third 15. i was thinking of having the 3rd firing straight up, and the two still firing back. just don't know how it would work.
  11. they are power acoustik mofo 152X, 3000rms. and to the other person who asked how i plan on running three 15's, i actually already have 3 15's in the trunk right now. i have 2 in 1 box, and a third in a single box behind the 2, push right up against the back seat, so yes it is possible. i'm just looking to put all 3 in one box.
  12. i'm going to be running 3 15's in the trunk of a chrysler lhs, with max dimensions of 17"h/36"w/40"d i need around 2 cubes per sub. need a sealed box due to space. i'm wanting spl. are there any design programs available to help me DESIGN this? or can anyone here give me any ides? any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks!
  13. i actually wanted to go with dc, but there isn't any dealers near me, that i can find. i live in moline, illinois and there isn't much of a spl scene around here so it's harder to find good, qaulity stuff
  14. thats probably why i can get two of them for $500. what could you recomend for me that is in that price range. i'm gonna be running 3200rms
  15. can anyone tell me anything about the ma audio hardkore 15? i know they are 2ohm dual voice coil, 2000rms, but haven't heard them before
