  1. In that case go biotch them out!!! The think acting weird is one thing but making weird noises is another. I've never had any problems with any I've installed except when I had a bad fuse block. What was the purpose of the cap if you've got batteries? I just read your post about the shop, did they talk you into the cap? Be nice at first don't biotch about that right away...

  2. i'm not going to go in there raising hell. I have there f'ing name in bold across the front of my windshield (about to scrape off). I'm going to talk to the owner Friday. There were some good points made here today.

You have their name on YOUR windshield! They should have done the isolator or fixed whatever problems you had for free! Your advertising for them! Talk to the owner, if I were in his shoes seeing a quality system (not just a bunch of stuff randomly fitted together) in a vehicle that left my shop I'd be wanting the people as happy as they could be. It's another story when you have a set of used 6.5's in one door, 6x9's in the rear from another car with a old sony radio yanked from a beater all bunched together with lanzar and pyle amps. It isn't the case with what you have going on and from what I can see you'd be doing the company positive business and advertisement by showing off the car especially with their name paste to the window. IMO I'd want them to do something about that top kicker plate which kind of does look a bit off. That 6x9 box should have been attached a bit better even if you were to get into a 20mph accident I'd be wanting to make sure that box was going to stay if it were leaving my establishment. Don't be a cock as that never works until you have to be, by talking to the owner I'm sure you'll be taken care of. BTW wait to take the stickers off! ^_^ LOL

  3. so far L7 sounds like your best option with that amp and staying in a decent price range with a single sub setup. Of course you can check out DC audio and get some lvl2's or 3's.

I have my CVR's [at the moment] in a modified prefab box giving them about 500rms each and they are louder than most prefab ported box's around my area. but I do think you will be better off with 2 12's sealed vs 1 ported.

I've heard cvrs in a box that was less than recommended specs and they sounded like crap...they need at least 1 cu ft. but you have to take displacement out of that...I've heard them in other boxes and they sound great...

  4. if you wanna get louder...you'd be better off getting 2 lower 12's with the same power as you'd put to 1 12. like...450 a piece compared to 900 on one, cuz with the same power, the pair would be louder since they have more cone area

So a L7 in a proper ported box wouldn't be louder?

What subs sound good with 1cuft or less sealed that are around that price?

I liked the pioneer shallows but they don't hit deep imo...

  5. From what I can remember originally he had a 15 and figured 2 12's with more cone would be louder (am i right or wrong...?) I think he wants the most bang for the buck with the amp he's got. He'd be using the entire rear for a single 12 ported using the rear under the seat...

I told him that 2 cvrs unless you get enough air in a sealed box won't sound as good as a 12 in a properly ported box...is that statement right or am I giving the poor guy bad advice?
