I don't kow much about those, are the stock internals really beefy enough to handle it?

I wouldn't mind numbers...Oh and awful bout the ring though.

For real, this isn't even my sub but thanks for the prompt and positive reply! I'll recomend you guys again!

So my buddy bought 4 e8s (d2s) a while back and I installed them under his seat in a pretty cool stealthy setup. He called me the other day and said one wasn't working. I looked the sub over after pulling it and this is what it looks like:
There is nearly a centimeter gap where the slugs, including the bottom plate, have slidden away from the top plate, pinching the coil. The coil will not move at all. I've never heard of such a thing, and have no explanation for how it could have happened. My guess is too thick of glue? Anyway he knows nothing about the subject, so I though I'd ask for him, with the added utility of a picture vs. a phone call.
The sub was not abused, seeing less than 300rms in a sealed enclosure off of a Memphis 1000D (4subs). The coil does not smell burnt, there is definitely no over-excursion happening. They sounded great up until this.

That's neat, in speaking of doing weird things you should look into a crown amp, or one of the JBL/Crown car amps. I'd send you one if I had one haha.

My latest project turned out good.

Where can I get one of those snakes?! That's awesome! Oh sweet astro too. You southern folks are so lucky with your rust free environment.

Alright gotcha. I looked 'em up they're the same as yours concerning open carry. Totally agree with it defeating the purpose though.

Heeey man that was just posted in random picture post and his earlier statement reminded me of it. Careful were ya click is all.... Not trying to be a clown here.
Likewise though, why on earth would just wearing that badge get you all shot up? Do you shoot an officer because he's got a badge on? A mall cop? It'd just be interesting to see people's reactions. If you've got a permit I bet some people treat you entirely differently just because of it. Not trying to clown at all.....
Well the purpose of having the permit is so that people DONT know you are carrying... If you do your job the right way then people DONT know you are carrying so they should not have to act different or have people treat you differently... If you dont make it obvious you are packing then no one should be the wiser
This might be a stupid question, but if you have the permit can you carry it not concealed? Like just in a side holster? Can you do that normally? Like without a permit? Or is that illegal? If it is shouldn't wearing that badge be illegal?

No they never post anyhting bad at all. Like this for example.
On the other hand I think it would be a great joke to wear one of those and not have your gun on you.
I send you a BIG Fuck you for that bro... Thx... Scared me,my girl and MY dog all in one leap.. Damn you lol
Fully deserved! I fell right outta my chair. I don't know what's so scary about it.....
because people do stupid shit for stupider reasons.
oh hes got a gun, i bet he thinks hes all hard with his CHL
ima shoot him up and laugh at him.
an officer doesnt get shot up because hes.... an officer...
a mall cop doesnt get shot up because.... hes a mall cop.
an officer and a mall cop are not your day to day people who throw on a badge that says HEY I GOT A GUN LOL CMERE.
Must be the hood down there haha. Ain't so violent up here I guess, wouldn't have crossed my mind. I would have just though it was a conversation starter. Some liberals would tear you right up (verbally), the farmers would invite you to their daughter's wedding.

If they're big enough bolts, use a small chisel and a tap hammer to turn them out. Heating them up can help too.

If it's a titanium won't a TC sounds drop in basket fit? I know some of them are exactly the same....

I've got some work in a closely related industry called telematics. You'll have to travel a lot, and I don't offer benefits (hopefully soon I will) but the pay is good. You must know how to use a multi-meter and have basic automotive tools. Experience disassembling auto interiors is a huge plus. Also you will need a reliable vehicle. Doesn't need to be a van or truck, but a subcompact won't work either. A small SUV is great. We work in the Midwest, from CO to KY, WI to TX. Generally I try to keep you as close to home as I can. You will likely be almost completely independent once we roll you out, so expect the good and the bad with that fact.
Let me know if you're interested by sending a resume or short work description to [email protected].
