Alright every one, this is my first time doin any kind of project on my car. (91 escort gt) its nothing great but its practice for bigger better stuff:D what i did today because its like plus 4 :) i took out all of the hatch panelling, to just behind front seats. and the carpet from the trunk area (back seats are still in.. for now) gonna re-run all my wires from the battery back for amp and also the signal cables so they arent on the same side as power wire, and run a few more wires for my smaller amp for rear speakers. and also having some body work to the bumper but thats on hold kuz im not at school and thats where it is i will get some pictures for evrey one who loves pictures (me being one) and if any one has imput on some things let me know and money is tight so it may be abit slow when coming to buying things

hahaha i finally found some one on this site near me in canada. whats up caravan. i dont know how to pm other wise i would do that. but im planning on doin the same thing when im done high school(this year) and coincidentally im moving to alberta too -
i hope every one had a good new year. and i didnt understand what you meant before but i got it now kinda. and ya the ported box would be so much simpler to design.
-
haha sweet thanks, so it would be easier to have a regular ported box tuned to 45Hz
-
i dont fully understand at all, lol but thanks for trying to tell me, i wasnt planning on making any thing like that so it doesnt matter. i was just wondering if that would work.
-
hahaha well i learned some thing new today, so is it possible to have it tuned to 2 different frequencies? or is that just really pointless, becaused what amatt said if you got a good box it should have more then one peak or what ever?
-
i dontknow what its called but i drew up a quick sketch on paint.net so have that and have one port at like amatt said at 40Hz and one at 60Hz but i dont see how this will work now that i really get thinking about it kuz while one is hitting the 40s nicely the other would just be there kinda messin with the good one and then the opposite way for when hitting likes 60s please help me here kuz i have no idea what the hell im talking about
-
question for the good box builders here is it possible to tune a box to 2 frequencies if you have a double reflex bandpass or what ever the hell its called. because it does have 2 ports.

Kicker Burning Smell
codi replied to loganuf's topic in General Audio - Can't find a category for your question? Ask here.
i have kinda of expierienced that not so good smell with my 12" L5. im not sure if its from my sub though, like when i listen to hypnotize at like 27 which is usually the limit for most songs for my volume, like i have smelled my amp and nothing and i try smelling air from the port on my box but still doesnt really smell, i was gonna ask a while ago but then forgot to -
thats such a wicked song
-
awsome thanks i have a long way still till i have the money for this because while im saving up for all this im saving up for a new vehicle and moving right away after high school so instead of the L5 kickers what other subs would any one recomend with the T20001BD or even the T10001BD im wanting to try some new stuff at the same time lol
-
heyy every one i have a few questions for a new sub/amp setup would a rockford T20001BD power two 15 inch L5 kickers efficently right now i only have one 12 inch L5 powered by an alpine MRD-M605 also what type of upgrades would i have to do to my system? like what wiring would i need 0 guage? and would i need to get capacitor?
