Based on the weight of a sheet of 3/4. I would guess around 500-550 lbs
you ever try what we talked about at the show?
-
440 lbs

I thought so. Kicker never stuck me as crap even down to the Comp VRs.
my old system was one 18" solo-x, built with 8.9ft^3, tuned at 26hz, with 2 kicker kx2500.1. on the dash it would do 153db @ 30hz on my termlab, in a non walled daily system. the lows were un-godly in the car.

got this mdf in at work yesterday. how thick you ask? its a single piece 4" thick. only $375 per sheet.
-
I've heard the jokes and hate on Kicker and their subs, but I'm wondering about the Solo X's. How do they sound on a decent amp like Rockford's? I know sometimes the brands of amp can completely change the way a sub sounds. How about with Kicker's own amps?
ive had ever size solo-x made. in my opinion, the 18 is the best sounding of the bunch. if you do your part on the enclosure and setting the amp correctly, they can sound amazing. most of the people to run off about the solo-x being crappy, have never used one. and even fewer have used one in a proper enclosure.
next system i build for daily driving will be 2 18" solo-x with 2 kicker zx2500.1

Howa 1500 Action (.22-250) with a 24" Shilen barrel and a Bell and Carlson stock, fully glass bedded and the action has been trued, with a Timney trigger. It has a WOTAC 4-14x50 scope on it.
Remington Model 1100 12 Gauge
Remington Model 700 VTR .308 with a Bushnell Elite 6500 4.5-30x50
Marlin 917VS .17 HMR
Marlin 917Vr .17 HMR
Stevens Model 200 Action (.223) with a LRS Thumbhole stock glassed and trued, with an Osprey 6-24x50.
so, im guessing those are all tricked out for long distance? (except the shotgun)
note - i wish i could find one of those sunshades to fit the glass on my 270.

Yeah apearently the guy never test fired it when he got it in . We got it to work but still its a little shity when u go to buy something nice and get home and it won't work
when i buy a gun at a pawn shop, i buy it with the mindset that i will have to fix it. that way, im never dissapointed.
-
What's up everyone? I just bought an older model remington 1100 at a pawn shop wwhere I live for a decient price and the damn thing won't fire. Were on the way now to take it back so I was wonering what everyones openion would be on that? Because don't you think its a bunch of crap
Thanks
have you made sure its the gun and not defective ammo? if i took a gun back every time i got a defective round i would have any guns.
we have a remington 1100 here that was my grandfathers, and i know how to tear all through that thing. i could always go through it for you and see if it just needs a good cleaning....

Because im wanting to have something to let my fiance shoot and I'm not gonna get an ar 15 I was wanting a sig or a bullpup
you do realize that the gun you are asking about (colt m4 22) is an ar-15, just chambered in .22 dont you...... i think your dividing by zero on this one......
you say you want something your fiance can shoot, which makes me think you are worried the ar will have too much recoil. my 8 year old son can handle my ar15 just fine.
-
why not just buy a normal ar-15, and put a .22 conversion kit in it? that way you can shoot .223 and .22lr? you would have a great plinker / hunting rifle, vs getting a .22 ar and being stuck with just a plinker / squirrel and armadillo popper.

How big is the show in pooler usually
it just depends. i meter all the shows there and this is the first time ive heard a date on this particular show. guess i need to call the shop tomorrow and verify that date so i can get awards squared away.

sounds to me like your l7 has aids.

i think 17.5- just about 18k aint too bad for 38 and having nothing less then a 15" woofer for the last 23 years aint too damn bad. I need to get a real hearing test just to see but i have been saying all along that i think im doing pretty good.......considering.
ill be lucky to hear at all when im that age. if i get another metal band goin', ill definately be on the track to going completely deaf.
just for reference, at home, i practice my guitar an hour a day with a 200 watt amp head and 2 4x12 cabinets. call it overkill.....
-
ya its weird, you know back in the day when you walk in a room with a CRT TV and you hear that sound - it must be emitting something like 18-19k because to me, thats what it sounds like.
i hate that shit! i remember back in school, it would always drive me crazy when they would turn the tv on and no-one else in the room could understand why i was flippin out. they all just looked at me like i was some fuckin wierdo.
-
i can hear 19khz, but not 20. not bad for 29 y/o and hav had my ears absolutely destroyed by loud music for the last 13 years. damn near deaf in the left ear, but right is good to go.

1 of my favorite bands

imo not a no no just someone who is notorious for not liking anyone to question them or challenge anything they do. Hence why i dont frequent any sites he has control of.
well, no offense to anyone... but... ROE did take one motherfucker of a nose dive when control was handed over them (pre-anthony). it got a little better when ant got it, but some things never change.

is it easy to get sponsors?? wat if i really wana be about of the whole car audio and do great builds nd wat not. would i be able to get a sponsor? i really really really got into all this and i wana do it big. any advise tips or comments? im curious on how i could get a sponsor even tho rite now my set up is not that hardcore. but heey.. upgradin soon
well, in my case, when i got sponsored by kicker.... i had to spend boatloads of money on my setups to be competitive, i competed for a few years, earned a good reputation, won tons of shows, was always fair with other competitors whether i won or lost, and showed that i was willing to travel all over to do big shows where the products could be seen.
you gonna have to spend lots of money, do lots of show, and show the manufacturers that its worth it for them to invest in you.
-
ass email to all of the banned ROE members.
We are offering anyone that has ever been banned onRealm Of Excursion the opportunity to come back to the site, hassle free.
ant, i guess you were the only one who wanted me back. lol i made one post and was banned again. i guess asking someone if they cut their own boxes or if they farmed them out is a big no-no over there.
oh well.

I also tried some number 4 shot at closer range, and it is with larger shot such as this that The Judge becomes better suited for solving social disputes of the most unfriendly kind. I see this as an ideal weapon to keep on the car seat to quickly resolve an attempted car-jacking. When a punk jerks the car door open, a face full of number four shot should rapidly dissuade the social misfit from wanting anything to do with your car, and should also render him unable to pass the eye exam for a driver’s license for the rest of his miserable life. If this seems cruel, so be it. If someone sneaks into a parking lot and hot-wires a car, that is one thing, but if he tries to forcibly take an occupied vehicle at a traffic light, he can learn to read Braille in prison as far as I’m concerned.
quote from this link

while its a nice weapon, and very accurate for what it is, i dont plan to use it for self defense. a 1911 is the only weapon i carry for defense, except for my knife and my ruger lcp in my pocket.
overkill 9000!

mark, cut half way through, flip, mark, cut again. but yeah, cut, glue, and screw it together right, and box will be strong.
