Good craftsmanship, but it looks terrible IMO.
-
What the hell, it looks like that sub is out of phase with itself.
-
That looks fucking awesome, good job.
-
The older 105 will be better than the low, low end components on say a brand new trek 1.1. Avoid that TT cervelo for daily riding, it will suck.
-
Why is the sp4 cheaper than the btl is the btl a better sub
I don't want to be a dick but read the website FFS, all the info is there.
-
You have any pics of the D3400 under the hood? I want to know how you were able to jam it in the stock battery area haha.
-
I'm not trying to hate on the shop that did your install, but it looks a bit sloppy honestly. x2 on what kranny said, that painted sheet-metal ground should really be moved to something solid, and that fuse/wire routing looks pretty awkward. Those subs are rated somewhere around 500rms, and given the amp, they're probably seeing less than 1kw.
Not trying to rip your system apart, as long as you enjoy it that's all that matters.

Cool idea, refreshing from all the huge wall builds around here lately.
-
I've done both, the silicone route works well. If you do use bolts check their resistance with a dmm first.

Pics aren't working.

I am looking at the Fi Q subwoofer but was wondering if I should go down that route or Ascendant Audio Havoc is a better deal. If anyone has any experience with either one or both please let me know. I am looking at a single 10 or 12 in a cu ft enclosure. I have a TREO RSX 1600 amp that does 310 watts x 1 @ 2 ohm and 600 x 1 @ 1 ohm. I am keeping that amp so was just wondering which would be a better deal out of the two subwoofers.
Thank you for all your help.
No idea on the havoc, but I have a loaded Q12 and it sounds awesome overall. I'd put it in the SQL area as it does get plenty loud with enough power, hits lows nice and does well on metal/rock.

The new camaro sell nere around 120-160au 130-175us depending on options
I don't thing yous pay anywhere near that
Ripped on everything
You mean $130 000-175 000?! That can't be right, the base model is only $23 000 here, $54 000 for the top end ZL1.

Even though it seems to be made aware now, the same size does not mean the same specs. These are not the D/S series, these are the XP series. And it has been stated already the numbers have been used to make it easier to correlate which battery to which setup.
XP975 = 975 watt setup.
Sorry didn't read the entire thread before , I was using that chart just as a quick reference. XP2000 it is, assuming I don't get destroyed on duty and shipping up here.
-
So this chart is irrelevent then, yes? http://www.stevemead...-wattage-guide/
And yes I am aware it is for a different line.
-
How did you read anything and come to that conclusion.
http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/69019-xs-power-battery-wattage-guide/
That. He said the XP950 is the same size as the D975, which is good for "upto 2000" as a supplementary.
-
So the XP950 should be good for a 1600w system eh, will have to get in on this.
-
x2 on fusing that rear batt. The amp rack looks clean, got any daylight pictures of it?
-
Nice man. I used to have that amp, just take it easy on the gain and you're set.
-
Keep it up, bass knob and voltmeter look clean.
The L.A. Gunman (x-cop) drama unfolding now!!
