thank you stephen. rebasing means compromising in a sense. or customizing. making something work where it wasnt really desined to go but works just as well.. d2r and d2s are bulbs for cars that came with hid from the factory. unless you want to retrofit an oem reflector or projector into your housing, just buy a conversion kit or plug-n-play kit for your vehicle if you dont wanna go through the hassle of retrofitting. because it takes alot of hours and sometimes still doesnt come out right.

i understand that but a d2r bulb or "capsule" wont just simply fit into the 9007 housing. look at how the bottom of the bulb is. compare that to this: where it is held on by the housing itself is completely different. so if a d2r were to work, you would need to rebase the bottom or base to fit the 9007 housing

it is, but is "lubed" if you will by engine oil which is being fed from the engine itslef....which is what he means

thats true....blind you EVEN more... if you were to get a d2r you would have to rebase the housing or bulb i forget..it would definately help but be alot of work...

from what i think, its gain but dont belive me, let someone else with more experience tell you. but try lowering the gain a bit...might work....

you get used to it after a short while...shit i started with one 12 x-plod and right now i got 2 cvr 15's in my car.i have had the current set-up for about 1.5 to 2 months and i already want more...it always fun to go to a freinds' house after just upgrading and scaring the shit outta them with the bass...haha ... but seriously though, it sounds good..i wish my rear seats went down...
