  1. haha i already figured it out XD! hah its posted above, it works like a charm and does not damage anything =) :yahoo:

    Umm congrats? :peepwall::popcorn:

lol thanks jk lol... this is just for the people who also where wondering how to get out without damaging anything XD

I've always just used a cloth and a decent flathead. Never had an issue, which is why I never saw the point of the thread lol. No offense man, but just something most people probably dont have to ask.

  2. I've never really been a fan of kicker either (best buy subs) but i figured they deserve a box and given to the girlfriend (she wants an 18 already lol) but thanks for the advice guys! :good:

They are decent for mid entry level subs.. yea best buy type stuff

  3. i just got 2 2004 kicker l7 12s for free (perfect condition because he underpowered them and they sat forever) and i was wondering if anyone has ever gotten good results with these. what tuning and box size did you use?

They are decent, but not all that loud compared to some of the other brands around now. But for mid level name brand subs, they are decent.

Give them a ported box tuned to 34 hz, and about 800 RMS solid power, and atleast 15in^2 port area per cube, and that box will sound great. Probably around 3.5-4 cubes combines.

  4. I have a buildlog on here and I already have bought my ti 18" baskets, just needing some motors. Looking at the Lvl4s or XLs or lvl4 spls ( maybe it was xl spl? ) as I think the lvl5 will be out of my price range.

will be running a DAT inferno 8.1 once it's repaired.

Best place to look is used on the forum. I dont think they are available direct.

If you look around here and CACO etc, you will find some.

  5. I was trying to figure out the equivalent DC speaker to the FI BL.

In particular a fully loaded, new style 4" Flat wound BL with all the cooling options.

I know DC is a great proven product.

But I am basically wondering if my is more like a Level 4, XL, or level 5 DC.

I am GUESSING the BTL is equivalent to the Level 5.

So Am I correct in guessing the BL is comparable to the XL?

  6. How small are we talking?

It is more price dependent than size dependent. There is no real space limit, but I'd like to get it for under $80

And I could even do 100 RMS / 200 Max if that was a bit cheaper.

    cheap little 2 ch. amp,

Nice find! That is a great consideration!

The watts are a little more but I think this amp is almost the size of a CD

Kick butt but way too much power. These subs handle 100 RMS, and are shall we say.. old school lol.

  7. well heres my .02 cents. if the bl gets stinky on the 2k just back it down some 2.7 is much larger than i would have gone and also thats not alot of port but you should be fine. the amp is capable of 2k doesnt mean you need to squeeze out every last drop just set the gains more conservatively and in the end the power will be a bit "cleaner"

15 in^2 per cube should be decent, but I wont try killing it. I just want it to sound good, I don't need to use up every bit of juice :drinks: Thanks for the info man I appreciate it
