build looks solid, but in the future, just say no to particle board lol. but yeah otherwise looks great!
edit: sorry if i came off as an ass lol, didn't read the beginning. My friend built a 4th out of particle board, the box flexed quite a bit. your build looks a lot more solid though, tuned in for vids!

Would pandora be considered cheating?

Each car is different i suppose haha. without the dimensions of your trunk it's gonna be hard to tell.
-
I feel like Iowa is giving Florida a run for it's money heat wise this summer.
-
the civics i've worked with before have TINY trunks. a single 15 would be snug

Interested as well.

IMO, 4 and a half cubes is too big for a pair of 12" Q's on 3k. Shrink it at least half a cube
-
Doing a 145 daily might be plausible, but a 150 is gonna be tough to break with the same cone area.

Step your game up to the 4500, son! this box will be perfect for that!
-
that box does not look good imo. Hunter, check your pm's i'm about to reply here soon.

You got it right. you don't need to add the V thing, but it does help.

What kind of power does this do @ 12 volts?
-
wouldn't it be + or - .1?

Stop telling him lies! I have a free app on my android that told me my pair of 8's were doing a 160.xx at the headrest! that's obviously true
and almost as accurate as my Ear-o-meter!

One question, why would i do 2 4 inch aeros at 23" instead of 1 4" aero at 10"? I understand about the added port area, but what difference would that actually make irl?
You can do that, but you'll notice a significant amount more output with a pair.
there's sort of a happy medium between too much area and too little area.
too much and you could run into unloading issues and possibly over excursion
too little and you're leaving a lot of output on the table.
-
If you want to play it safe though, take an inch off your depth. it raises the tuning about 1.5 hz, but that shouldn't be very noticable.
-
You should be fine with the same dimensions and a pair of 4" aeros.
-
don't worry about what it looks like on sketchup when you're using aeros haha. just mark the cutouts and make sure they don't hit anything.
-
Same dimensions, pair of 4" aeros, 23" long. leaves you a little bit more volume, which shouldn't be a problem unless you're overpowering them significantly.
