AND you need to factor in number of common port walls. click the help button up top. we'll start there.

ohhhh dear.

Thor's setup is sexy.

that's a little more than 1k to each.

you want a sealed box figure out how many cubic feet you want. LXWXH/1728 and then subtract displacement. What part are you hung up on? Being disappointed once you do it?
yes exactly. I'm not worried about the dims, I know it's possible. I'm just worried that 6 cu ft of air is going to sound like total ass.
I gave you a design that will sound amazing. especially compared to your current box. It is well within your current dimensions. In fact, i didn't max out a single one. IF you can manage to get that in the trunk, it will sound louder, and lower than any sealed box you build.
Just build it.

Habbits of my trade I reckon, over engineer everything,
how often do you build boxes? You're gonna learn a lot more building than you ever will reading. I guarantee you that.
-
I personaly think 2 15s will push more air more flex. But do you have the power for 2 15s. Its up to how much electrical you have. Imo.
lol subwoofers don't draw power, amps do. you can power the 15's with any size amp.

Lenny's 6 SMD 18's are built with only two baffles and single layer everywhere else. he's just got some serious bracing.
-
lol probably won't. He won't have much luck with a sealed box either. i've worked with a few trunk cars. the opening from the seat to the trunk probably isn't more than 16 high. mine is 13 high and i have a 17" high trunk
-
Again, good luck fitting that in the trunk. But that will walk all over your prefab box.
-
you know what, i'm feeling generous. build a ported box to these specs,
should look close to this
-
There's people on this forum (like me) who can help you with a ported box design. the problem with your prefab box was the tuning and port area. tuned to high for your preferences, and not nearly enough port area. I guarantee you a ported box with one of those will sound better and get lower than two in a sealed box. might even be louder.
But if you want to build a sealed box so badly, then do it. 5 cubes net and good luck fitting that sucker inside your trunk.
Does that answer your question?

I'll join you at Murphy's......
On my way there now..
Maybe murphy's law applies here

When 3500 worth of subs, amps, headunit, etc get stolen and you dont have a job to make money quickly. I take a year break to save up then go at it again.
next time with a better security system.

Take a week or two off. Clear your head, then come back at it unstressed with an open mind.

Depends on what said "chick" looks like
-
Missed that part. It would be a good idea to brace the baffle. a couple dowels or some all thread placed vertically inbetween subs would be a good idea
-
sub displacement would prolly be closer to .6 i'd imagine, but it wouldn't change much.
-
-
I can help you design one, just PM me.
-
just do a downfiring ported box.
-
How do "professionals" spend an hour to do something like that? and $80 bucks is over half the cost it would take to do it yourself.
