Doing a little sound cloud shopping today and came across this. I almost like it better than the original, almost. Took it to audacity and apparently it's unclipped. Just thought i'd share.

wouldnt the bracing displacement also include 45's? also what does the 1:9 ratio mean?

Yeah, it would. there should really only be two places that 45's should be effective. just to give you an idea, a 45 that's 4.25 wide, 12 inches tall takes up about .03 cubic feet.

I don't think having that much port will hurt, but i think your ratio is a little concerning. shoot for like 1:9 ratio if possible.

also, you shouldn't need quite that much bracing.

you could probably get away with a pair of 15's. definitely not 18's though. you'd be looking at around 10 cubes minimum for the 18s

i saw a guy with 3 SA 12's at a show doing low 140's off an SAZ 2500... it came close to being able to hairtrick

so yeah, do a good install and you should get pretty loud.

Why would you? You're losing a fuck ton of output just to fit a 15 in there. Just get a pair of 12's and call it good.

6th orders are the best of both worlds IMO haha. mine gets down lower than my 12's on the same ish power and love the highs too. and yes they're very efficient, i have to remind myself that i only have 8's.

i don't know about the 12's but my 8's are bottoming out pretty easily. i am overpowering them a little bit though. i probably just made the rear chamber a little big. I'm thinking about getting the SA's now
