  1. i was setting gains and filters on Tuesday for 4 sub amps...each pair was strapped, then gain matched..used the dd-1 to find which would be the masters, checked vac and set to the lowest amp...lowest amp was already set clean at 57.2vac so i used that amp as 1 master, and set another amp to match with the cc1...checked vac, and the one amp was 57.2vac and the other was 58.4vac...not enough to make a difference really, but still inaccurate nonetheless, even tho the SMD meters say it was correct

then i used the cc1 to set filters..no problems with the lowpass but it would not work on the subsonic...it did read signal but would always say that i needed to go lower (tried 28hz and 35hz i believe) even tho i was all the way down...whatever, left both master amps all the way down on subsonic

then went to use amm-1 and it wont read live power..tony told me it needed an update but it would still read tones, not music...tried music, tried tones, and nothing worked

any feedback on this would be GREAT..spent alot of money on these tools to have ease of use, over using my scope and so far, they have not been worth it the slightest...is it something that i am doing wrong?

  2. never had issues in the past 10yrs with them until last year...received multiple wrong items, missing items, site being wrong about what harness goes with what, etc...ive spent north of $10k with them and they always go in and see that when i bitch...still causes headaches and makes me want to go somewhere else because my last 4-5 orders have all had something wrong, be it not in stock, arriving later than expected (causing me to cancel installation appointments), not shipping out for several days...they have gone downhill noticeably in the past year

  3. u havent attempted using it on a brazilian amp?...im pretty sure (i dont remember 100% honestly) i tried it on my taramps and it always showed clipping, same thing with my opti6k...i couldnt get any signal on the deck without distortion light on...it was a first run one tho and i heard some had issues...got me a dso nano and everything worked fine

  4. use uvc2000 in your resin and your resin will dry in like 5min in the sun...then use sonus matter body filler...quickest, lightest filler out..blows away rage gold...will LITERALLY cut your time working on those doors down to a fraction with that combination..with those specific pods, u could make like 5 sets in a day

  5. a 500 watt increase isn't going to be night and day usually, even going from 2k from 1k will, in a perfect world, yield a 3db increase, which you most likely wouldn't notice too much. Even if it 's not too much louder, you're around the same output while knowing your equipment's safe. :good:

it shuld tho bc i had the gain set VERY low bc of a small 40a fuse under the hood i didnt wanna pop...so u figure it was doing at most 500w, not including where i set the gain so it wuldnt pop...and yes, i do understand that fuses dont always pop at the rated load and thats its usually double, but even then, it still would be at MOST 1k, again, not including where i set the gain...it was honestly at about 1/8...the kenwood has 2v preouts as well...thats why im saying, it could have just been my ears when i did it...i was gettin demos all day from 156db trucks and cars at the meet

  6. check 1000hz... if it doesn't clip at 27 on 1000hz then keep turning sub level down until both sub rcas and mids/highs rcas clip on same volume

just a sub amp for now...no mids/highs amp...i just thought it would go higher than 27, maybe its just me...and i did check the 1000hz and 40hz signal to get my 27 on volume...so is it sub level all the way up, bass at "0"??...im still trying to learn EXACTLY how to use the DD-1

  7. maybe its just me but when it comes to different headunits, im confused on where to keep the bass settings, subwoofer settings, etc...for example, i just swapped my gfs apsm-1300 (1k but i had the gain VERY low bc of a 40a fuse under the hood) for a apsm-1500 (1.5k, added a new fuse and wiring), i used the DD-1 to set her headunit and amp and i thought i did it correct...im pretty sure tho, that something is wrong bc the headunit started to clip, according to the DD-1 at 27 out of 35 on the headunit (kenwood kdc-448u) and im not sure if it louder...i have the subwoofer all the way up (+13) and the bass at 0 (-8 to +8 )....basically, i need to know if i set it right??...also, if we can update and add to this thread for all headunits so users know EXACTLY what setting to use for their specific headunit, that would be much easier for ppl
