try experimenting with some scrap wire and taking the tweeter to the base of the a pillar and the other in the sail panel on the door. it will mess up the Link/Riley crossover natural correction, but it should get you louder

I see that you are the type that has learned everything and knows everything that needs to be... though if someone makes a comment you do not like, you assume it is personal and then retaliate with 13 year old comments or look at my sig... I, who have been doing it for some time, still strives to learn since there is so much out there to learn. I told you I wan't crapping on your post and to not take it personally but you did. than had it edited.
I see all the "that a boys" are still there... let me guess you need your ego stroked? why else would of my comments disappeared? They weren't offensive nor were they a personal attack. Is this how this forum operates? I see that people can swear and make racial comments but the editing of this is beyond juvenilistic

you can most likely get louder going active, but not that much.
I searched your amp, that amp looks sexy as hell, wish they would of incorporated end plates to hide the wires. Anyways the amp has a simple x-over set up. Do you want to really buy more gear
3 more RCA pairs, x-over, wiring... then a chance for noise...
How are all your speakers placed in your vehicle now?
-
I believe you have something hooked up wrong
what type of radio, was it installed using a harness adapter, try doing it with the antenna disconnected. be careful that if you used a harness adapter that the illumination wire (or dimmer wire) is taped off

Currently have the GTI's608 in my truck, running eight woofers and 8 tweeters. if i pulled the passive crossovers out and went Active would I see any difference? as in louder or even cleaner sounding, or would it just be a big waste of time?
there are over 20 variables that come to my mind. I do not know where to begin.
what are you trying to achieve?
with the passives it can be a bit more forgiving and smoother at times but it really comes down to placement, how they are installed, where they are installed, what amp, wiring, amplifier capabilities, can you bi amp etc. with the passives some of the power that amp is producing is lost through the passive network, but with some bigger amps it really doesn't matter.
some passives have a contour circuit installed or a notch filter to fix some issues with the speakers. this speaker system uses LinkRiley24db x-overs which keep both the tweeter and midbass from a lobing effect acoustically.
with the active x-over method you might need to tune from genre to genre so a parametric eq or basic eq might come in handy
i searched for some reviews but found nothing credible but the speaker for its size seams basic, besides the aluminum cone which I really never fancy'd on a midbass to begin with plus the sensitivity is a bit weak for the amount of power going to it. but I really can't critique the speaker since I have yet to hear it.
I personally am pretty critical of my music I am currently doing a vehicle and came to the same situation, i started by active x-over then swapped to bi-amp mode with the x-overs and played different forms of musics and sources. The passives won in bi amp mode as it smoothed out the tweeter and also at the x-over frequency. another nice feature of these x-overs were the ability to adjust the time delay... granted for a $2k set of component speakers I would expect to hear a gnat fart... and you will.
I will post some pics up in a bit of the x-overs

thanks and thanks

Mike,
It seems to hard to read and figure out what the bottom blocks translate to. Further the prefabricated woofer enclosure with funky pup cones wouldn't be something you would want to associate your business with, especially trying to reach the people with money (adults/successful businessman (and women))
just my opinion... no need to associate it with a mouse either.
However, I wish you much success with your business endeavor and if you ever have a question or need something feel free to hit me up.

they are about to return to my dungeon of car audio gear... last chance for them for another few years

That amp would be great for some high end components or some high quality SQ subs. Class A amp
That amp is not class A
it is a class AB design. for it to be a 900 watt class A amp, it would need to be the size of a Smart car

hey guys, this amp has just been sittin around my room, but i recently looked some info up on it on google, i read on one site that it was 2ohm stable..... although the booklet say 4ohm min. does anyone know if this is true, or if i can some how modify it to be 2 ohm stable.
4 ohm bridged is the minimum that amp could do, I ran mine back in the day, when they were new, at a 2 ohm and the amp died. it was not designed for it, though over built, the load impedance's of that era were 4 ohms, hence the JL Audio's original W6 6ohm woofers when ran in 3's were.... you guessed it 4 ohm
you can modify it for 2 ohm, easiest way would to buy a new amp for 2 ohm. otherwise you will need a new power supply, caps, and output stage.

no its not a mono block, its 2channel. what do you mean 2 ohm stereo?
lowest ohm load while running 2 channel stereo

the few that I had T20001bd were about 300 watts more than the specs

I thought they were around $400 for those? still made in the Philippines also? I remember when they first came out wasn't bad, but my buddy had some issues with his. i am always leery of trying something new, and the colt 1911 was is awesome without any work to it, and reliable. I did however find only one colt replacement out of every thing I have tried over the many years and it is the H&K USP.45. I like ambidextrous use. I had a nickel 1911, but long story short... it is melted down somewhere

thanks, and yes. Don't forget the parametric section which was different then the base epicenter
-
spl goes up to 160, as for accuracy it is measures at the input on the front of unit. it is a bass restoration processor and a parametric eq as well (epicenter plus para EQ)
it also can measure system voltage if not using the SPL screen.

Due you have any clue on the model number, or which horns these drivers will fit??
nope, none, I can't even find the invoice anymore, I know I ordered 4, tossed 2 in a truck bed with 4 8" mids and it was off the wall loud... 42" LCD also
we had movie night in the parking lot at the shop (commercial area) about 1/4 mile away are some houses and someone called the cops saying there was automatic rifle fire near the buildings (watching Mr and Mrs Smith) so the whole police force showed up... 4 stayed to watch the movie...
anyways these are new, never been installed, I forgot I had them and just came across of a box of stuff

most early marriages end in divorce, hell most marriages now do old and young.
Let me ask this, she seems to have a lot of time on her hands to be thinking of this, what is she doing for a living and what does she have to offer besides companionship? you seem to have a good head on your shoulders and goals, does she not RESPECT your intentions? remember females are a dime a dozen and a PITA when married, hookers are less demanding and no need to even have a conversation, also less expensive than being married and having kids... way less expensive...

That pretty much sucks, wish we would have a zero tolerance for murder and it would stop. death row would be a 13 day experience before you got zapped. and sure some are innocent on death row, but their sacrifice wouldn't be in vane. zero tolerance and no where in the world to run. self defense is a different story. hopefully the community can come together for the family and the child, at least to help for the burial, service, and maybe something to get the kid to a college. after all it is a community and everyone in that community to see there neighbors are looked out for.

As stated in the for sale section rules, please let the mods do thier job rather than the forum members, if you feel someone is in violation, use the report button.
In this case however, please also read the Super Sellers list as Olmsted is a member of the super sellers group.
Free bump for you Bro. Wish ya luck...
Thank you

Well how did it go?
I am betting with no harness that it was mis-wired.
