  1. How is it pissing money away? Can you explain a bit more? Don't I need power to make power? I've got 5k just for the subs, and that's not including what might go in for the future. Obviously I've got a big mid bass amp, and otherwise that's all the "major" power I have.

But if I didn't have the batteries and a good H/O alt at least, wouldn't I be having voltage drop issues?

I'm just trying to understand. I also get that snafu could make me stuff, and I'm sure I'll check that out with him, but what would be making me stuff for? That's what I'm trying to figure out.

At some point, yes this truck will be a trailer hauler. I plan to get a big travel trailer in the next couple years for my family to travel camp with. Until then it's all audio and future possibilities.

Pissing away comment is explaining the underbody mount of the batteries... they wont last long like that

  2. SNAFU !!!! How the hell you been

Scooter, if the truck with the bats under it is a trailer queen then it would be fine, otherwise it is just pissing money away. BTDT (and wrote the book)

Like SNAFU said he could make you some cables, or you can get a premade kit with dual battery tray page 12, http://www.wranglerpower.com/Wrangler%20Power%20Products.pdf

also talk to them about an alternator, a single one would suffgice if it is quality. Out of every alternator company I have ever used, these guys are the best. They can build anything for you and it works forever

  3. Optical is MOST, not Can.

Optical is a faster transfer rate of both audio and video with less chance of interference from other electronics, and is less wire throughout the vehicle.

Splicing or fixing a MOST network, which is completely different from a home/business network is done by replacing the cable from parts. The only issue I have ever seen with optical on MB is that 1 MB owner cut the cable trying to splice in it for audio, and 2 local stereo shops doing the same. Other than that it is pretty robust.

The new MOST 150 will offer internet transfer speeds over 100 MB.

Also I have seen other issues with MOST in a SAAB due to the placement of the amplifier under the drivers seat which corrodes and dies.

  5. to update to the 7.5, you need this

    http://www.wpcentral.com/force-mango-update-early-through-zune-software

I had to do it a couple of times to get it, and if you read down on the comments, about waiting to pull the internet cord longer.... you might need to do that.

It took about an hour to update mine, and only a few of the apps didn't work after the update, like F1 World, and 2 others which I don't use.

I like it, definitely a lot better!

  6. Brand new! My personal speakers which I was going to use them 2 years ago in my vehicle and went another route. The Space 8 do not have grills... sorry

Tech specs can be found here and these are phenomenal, I have done a few in the Porsche Cayenne and loved the sound with and without a designated subwoofer

    http://www.hertzaudiovideo.com/file/pdf/SchedaTecnica_space.pdf

email me at [email protected] if interested

    a few things to know

    - they are not a subwoofer, and anyone tells you different had to warranty their 8's

    - they play best with a 18db butter-worth x-over at 50hz and above, me I like 50-200 up to 800 depending on the midrange I use. and there has been times I would use the 8 and the tweeter only

    - there is no grills for the 8
