Tune to around 34hz, and if you want more help try to give max dimensions.
34 hz with the box built to factory specs?
-
well i was just trying to figure out what i should tune too, maybe by experience or suggestion
-
just get another 3515? probably your best option financially save some money for buying that other 15
-
8 10's would be sick
-
no thanks, i just want specs so i can build my own
-
I'm waiting on my 10" alpine type r, so i figured i should go ahead and get the box done before it gets here. I drive a 2000 Toyota Solara, i'm going to be running about 500-550 rms to it. What would a good slot port enclosure size and tuning be if i'm trying to get real low (slam the decaf lows)?
-
nightshade FTW, my buddy has a nightshade 15 and in a 5 cubic ft box with only 1500 rms and stock electrical and it slams, it can handle more than its rated at.

Good question i've been wondering the same thing, i want to know the pros and cons

If you want to know all about SQ subs i would PM Ray, or James.. 2 very informative guys right there.
I just searched for ray and a lot of results came up, is there a more specific name for the both of them?
-
They aren't geared towards SQ as far as I know, and those two choices are their entry level and mid level, so even if it was SQ it wouldn't be the best. Your enclosure would determine how they sound, as would many other factors that go into a SQ build...
Thanks man, do you know if RE has SQ subs though?
-
ok guys thanks for the input it really answered my question thoroughly
-
anybody?
-
Are AudioQue Subs geared more towards sound quality, the SD 2.0 and 2.5 series?
-
This one looks clean, u should go with this one for sure
-
If you decide to steer away from alpine, an AQ1200 would push the hell out of those
-
are you supposed to tint the whole part of the tail light including the turn signal?
-
thats a damn good looking box
-
i'm also looking into that amp, when does the clip light come on when you are clipping your sub as well as the amp?
-
it would be really hard to get a quality set of components for $100, you could get some nice coaxials for that price, but components are usually substantially higher in price.
-
Other than second skin, i've heard damn good things about audiotechnix
-
Not sure if it was already covered, but i like your tint, how dark is the front/back?
-
well i'm only going to be running a 600 watt system, so its probably not necessary, just the big 3 i would think
-
don't have them yet, or i wouldnt be asking this
-
OP - if you are going to ask questions that have been answered time and again, please, at the very least, use the correct vernacular...ohm load sounds ignorant...nominal impedance is the term you are looking for.
When a SET of speakers says 4-ohm components the FINAL impedance is going to be 4-ohms.
where the hell does it say 4 ohm components? If i saw that i wouldn't be asking this fuckin question
Why are they REALLY better?
in Mid's and highs
