Right now im just running 2 Hifonics hfi12d4's and i have been really happy with them, 300 watts each and i have a good mid-range with 8 inch mids in my doors so i want to get my subs going lower now that i have better mid-bass up front. Think i will try the 30hz if i have room. Thanks

Any suggestions on what frequency to use on rap or slowed , or chopped and screwed type songs ?? 35 hz doesnt seem nearly low enough for this ??

I did as suggested and put my info in the Torres Calculator and it says if i add 2.5 inches which will be a total of 12.5 inches of port length then my tuning will be at 32 hz, will i notice much difference at 32 instead of 35 ?? Sorry but i have never done any box tuning like this before !! And another important thing i need to know is how far away should i stay from the back of the box with my ports ???? Thanks

That is a very good idea !!! Somebody helped me make the box and i didnt even think about re-adding my dimensions and testing length that way, DUH !!!!!

Back to to the other thing, LOL, this sounds stupid but if my ports start getting close to the back of my box do i just put a 90 degree bend in them ? And second is there any rule-of-thumb for how much added length equals to a certain amount of frequency increase ??? I.E.- does 1 inch equal 1 hz and so on ???

I have a 4 cubic f'oot box with two 4 inch round ports that is tuned to 35 hz. I want it to play lower because most of the rap or chopped or slowed music i listen to is lower frequency than this. My question is, do i add length or subtract length from round ports to get my frequency lower ?? And how much to lower to say around 30 or 32 ??. I may even make a couple different sets of ports so i can change them out. Thanks
