  1. Start at the amp and work your way to the front.

With everything off pull the rca's from the amp, then turn it all back on and see if the noise is still there, if not then the problem is further up. If the problem is there with the rca's out of the amp then the problem is at the amp.(ground, ect.)

If you have no noise then put the rca's back in the amp with everything off. Then pull the rca's from the hu with everything off, then turn it all on and see if you have the noise. If no noise then the problem is at the hu. If you have the noise the problem is with the rca's.

    Try this and report back

  2. I have made plenty of boxes for my hdc3 12's I tried all placements I could think of and I keep going back to one box. Side firing aeros (four 4" aeros) forward firing subs.

I'd say about 4.5 cubs net. Two 6" or Four 4" aeros or 1 8" aero. As for the placement you will just have to try different styles. My car seems to like side firing port and subs towards the front or back not much of a difference for daily but forward firing seems to be a little better and not as much trunk flex.

    Hope that helps some.

  3. If your port is only 6.25" long that's your problem. You're tuned too high. If I were at home I'd give you specs.

Actually, throwing it into Torres it's ok with tuning frequency. It tells me 37.60. The port AREA per foot however is way too low, only 9.54 sq inches per cube of air. Plus it's over 6 cubes per woofer. Not sure what RD recommnends, but that MIGHT be on the high side.

Wow wouldnt have guessed it was tuned to 37 lol. But yes he needs more port and probably a slightly smaller box like you said.
