  1. I never thought so many people would start all these builds for 4 15" skar vvx's. I just bought mine about a month ago and they have been sitting in my closet for 2 weeks waiting for my amps. I'm puttng then in a wall in my jeep wrangler. It's a 10 cube box tuned to 29 hertz going to be powered by 2 crunch gp3000-d's strapped. That makes 4 of us!

Who will win the race ;) lol

  2. yay, now theres no way i cant stick with skar now.

previously i was thinking for upgrades.. wheres the 2k from skar.. i cant jump to the 4.5k.

glad theres mid ground between the 1500 and 4500 now.

now with the 1500W sub line, ill stick with skar for a looooong time :]

thanks kevin for awesome products, and thanks malib00m for advertising so well what skar audio can do, even on low power (your first build, 3-400w per driver).

favorite quote from giving a few demos.. "whos skar.. man idk, but it sounds so good, and low"

    No problem broski :)

Keep looking for HUGE things from SKAR!!! Glad everyone likes your demos!!!

  3. Nice, that also is a 4th order, some of the best playable ranges come from them. I think when I get these, I am going to test out a few boxes. I'll make one at 32Hz first, and see down to how low it can get, then I am sure I can assume it will prob be able to play 1-2Hz lower than that in the future from the suspension loosening up a bit. Then from there can see what I would like to tune to.

Sounds good....let me know if you need a box design as I work with one of the best builders in Florida :)

Sidenote-He has designed about 6+ designs for SKAR VVX subs and built 4 huge builds involving them :)

  4. I've been watching videos similar to what I will be doing, and I get more excited each video i see. Any rough estimate how much lower these things can go below tuning? Once I get them I will take a nice time designing and fabricating the box.

All depends on the box and car bro. The subs can play in the teens. With my old 4th order I was peaking at 28hz and could do 50s at 22hz
  5. In my system I can only go down to about 30hz, im tuned around 33Hz. I just want to be able to play the largest range as I can but still getting to mid 20's.

Well due to the soft suspension and low FS of the VVX line even doing a direct swap would change your peak to below a 30 if it is already a 30 with current setup.

You won't have any trouble getting nasty in the mid 20s with a properly designed box and tuning :)
