  1. I almost guarantee it is not the ground because I've had 3 different ones the one.. But yeah I'm starting to think it might be my RCA's because I've tryed almost everything else even running them over the seats what kinda of RCA's would you recommend? And thanks for suggestions and if you can think about anything else please post. Oh and about the big 3 me and my dad just put a new alternator in back in November and my battery is not even a year old yet but could that be it? Im not super smart about car audio either but would I really need a bigger alternator and battery for 1 12?
  2. I have a JVC Head unit. What I mean is I unhooked speaker wire from subwoofer and I hear it through my speakers but when I turn volume all the way down on stereo I don't hear it also I'll have to look into grounding RCA's cause I have no idea how you do that but I'll give it a try. Oh and my amp is grounded to bare metal sanded and scraped Paint off and the ground is not lose either.
  3. Nope they are on opposite sides of my car put if I unplug RCA's it stops. Also this sounds weird but when I put my car in reverse it stops. I even unplugged speaker wire but I still heard it. And another thing if my car is just running off the battery I dont hear it either
  4. Ok well here we go I have installed a rockford fosgate T2 with a Lanzar MXA 282 2 Channel Amp and I am having problems with a ground loop at low volumes I hear a low buzzing/humming noise and When I accelerate it sounds like I have a turbo.. I already know about a ground loop isolator but people say that it is just putting a band aid over the problem how would I go on and fix it completely?
  5. Hi guys I found my dads old bass tube he had in his old camaro. I believe it is about 17 years old and I was wondering if anyone know how many watts it can handle. I just want to hook it up to my computer for some extra bass or maybe my car if it sounds good. Also it is about a 8 inch bass tube. And there is a fuse in like a plastic thing that the red wire connects to.. If you can tell me how many watts it can handle and what wires are what I will appreciate it cause my dad forgets and he doesn't have the box or anything Thanks, Austin
  6. Alright Thanks so much man for all your help! I'll be saving up. I start driving in September so that should give me enough time save up about $400 - $500. Then I'll get the rest when I get my job around October after soccer season. Oh and one more thing if I got another DC Level 4 12" subwoofer for Christmas would I need another amp? Well thanks again for all your help! I'll be sure to post a video once I get everything and get it set up.
  7. Yeah $800 is a little out of my budget, but I understand that you need to spend money to get a good system. So I think I'll just stick with what you pick out so far. Also the DC Level 4 12" Subwoofer should be pretty loud right? Thanks, Austin

  10. Alright thanks so much for your help. But still a few more questions. Ok so we got the Amp, Got the Sub, the box, and Got the 4Gauge Install kit. I followed your link to the website and found the speaker wire, Does it matter what kinda I get because there is like 4 different kinds?, Was it in my budget to get 1 DC LV4 sub or 2. Also is the head Unit I picked out good? oh and I thought of 1 more What size of sub Should I get
  11. Thanks for replying my budget is around 500-700 dollars. I not sure what's good or bad cause I was looking at reviews on the stuff and most of them were 4-5 stars so I thought is was decent stuff, but thanks for your help. Austin
