  1. i have a 360 modded and love it. no problems at all. and the controller doesn't do everything for you, you still have to know how to play.what controller do you have? did it come with instruction manual? if so, you should read it.
  2. Thanks. That was going to be my next step.
  3. That's how I feel, too. But now, I can't get in contact with him. I tried a few different times to send him a pm and it won't let me. Why would it keep giving me an error message?
  4. I've been trying to contact the seller to find out what's going on with the usps claim but I it wont let me send him a pm. It keeps saying there's an error. Does anyone know why it would do that?
  5. I got the lip as straight as I could get it. I still have a small air leak but nothing a lil weather stripping can't fix. I appreciate everyone's input.
  6. Seller is yumadbro. Been in contact with him. He claims he called usps and they'really getting back to him tomorrow.
  7. i'm going to try to make it work. i know i will never buy anything and let it be shipped USPS un-insured again. looking through the forums, i'm not the only one who received a smashed up, damaged package from them today.
  8. i would too. i specifically asked the seller to pack the items securely and he assured me they would be. the amp arrived last week with no problem at all. was packed securely, and had almost no shipping damage to the box. get the sub today, and it's a completely different story.
  9. i don't really want to go through all the hassle of usps claims if the sub is functional and can be fixed.
  10. this is what the box looked like when i got it. notice one side of the box has been damaged so badly all the tape came loose from the box.
  11. i have pics of the condition it was in when i received it, and he has pics of how it was when he shipped it.
  12. i heard back from the seller, and he doesn't seem to want to take any kind of responsibility for it. his response was "i gave you a good deal on them (amp and sub) and i took a $30 hit to ship them both." just so everyone here knows, i offered him $10 less than his asking price for each item. and his for sale thread said his asking price included shipping, so it doesn't matter if it was me who bought it, or someone else. he still was paying shipping.
  13. How do I upload pics? It doesn't look like it affected the surround at all, but I could be wrong.
  14. Ya. I think i can get it to work, tho. If I can't get it airtight, I'm just going to use weather stripping around it. The sub still seems to be 100% functional.
  15. Thanks for chiming in n8. I'm just going to leave the sub alone for now and wait for his response. I'm going to go check the sub and make sure it works. I really doubt there was insurance put on it. It was shipped usps with there cheapest shipping.
  16. I'm not really sure on the difference. Its a skar ivx. I've already let him know about the damage. Haven't heard back from him yet, which is why I wont put his name out there. Yet.
  17. Its bent pretty good. Its bent down so when I put the sub in the box one side sticks up enough to get a screwdriver under it. I have pics, but I'm on mobile and don't know how to upload.
  18. I bought a sub from a fellow member on here. It was shipped usps and I received it today. The box was smashed all to hell. Half the tape holding the box closed was already off. I opened the box and the sub was half laying on its side. Took it out knowing something was going to be messed up. Sure enough the mounting lip is bent up. My question is, how do I straighten the lip. If its not possible, how do I get a good seal around it?
  19. Ok. Thanks alot guys. Joe, I appreciate all your help and for answering all my questions.
  20. Well, I did round the corner a bit, just not a 45. It's not going to affect the performance without that 45 in the corner?
  21. Thanks for all the help, and sorry bout so many questions. I didn't cut the 45 in the port wall, so I messed that part up. Did you see my other question? If you slant the inner corner of the turn as shown the 45 should be done as follows:
  22. How big (at the widest point) should the 45 be? I hope you understand what I mean. Example: should I take a 3" strip of wood and 45 it? Do you understand what I'm asking? Edit:you're saying if I put the 45 in port corner than the L has to be rounded too? And I could just not use the 45's? Would it affect it at all if I already have the 45 in the other corner? Its already glued and screwed, so I hope I don't have to remove it.
  23. Can anyone answer my question? I've never built a box with an L port or with 45's. If the port is 3 3/8" wide, does it need to be 3 3/8" wide at the turn?
  24. It is good that there are people like Joe on here. People like him who are willing to help people without asking for anything in return. I asked for help, and he was quick to help. Had me a design in less than an hour after I posted. Thanks again, Joe. I appreciate it. When I figure out how to upload pics, I'll post some pics. Edit:one more question Joe. On the L port, where the 2 pieces meet, is it ok that its a corner and not rounded? Or does it need to be rounded? It just seems a lil close to the 45 in the port corner.
