  1. this really pisses me off, so i have to get it off my chest. so, i'm driving home from the store today and this car in the number 2 lane, a couple car lengths in front of me, decides he needs to turn right instead of left, but he's in the left lane. so instead of looking in his mirrors, he just whips right in front of me and...crunch, i smash into his back passenger side of his car that doesn't even have plates on it yet. i even had my music on so i don't know how he didn't hear me. i honked my horn and slammed on my brakes, but not fast enough. good thing is: there car is totaled and mine has a small crack in the fiberglass bumper. bad news: hit them so hard my new AQ hdc3 18" sub that i just got in there a week ago, gets completely thrown out of the box! i checked it, it still works. just has a couple scratches on the motor. more bad news: now i have to repair/build a new box before i can enjoy this monster again. long story short, dumbass drivers piss me off.

  2. thanks. i'm getting ALOT more flex now that i'm feeding it more power. pushing about 1500rms into now. got a new vid i'll post in a few days. it's about 6-6.5cubes. not sure on the port. it was designed by strongman designs. it's tuned to 36hz.

Hey bro nice vid there.. Getting some nice flex !!. Whats the specs on the box? Tuning fq? Port area?

    David

  3. yes. it's gonna to be built in the trunk. i was wanting the sub facing up, and port back. but the last box i had in there was with 2x 15's ported in a 10cube box. it was ported into the cabin through the back seat armrest. i just don't know if i will get louder ported into cabin again, or if i should keep the port in the trunk. any thoughts?

I would do something like 19" x 36" x 26" with a 17.5" x 6" port with a 25" long, that would give you around 6.4 cubic feet and 105 SQ of port with a 36 hz tuning, at least that´s similar of what i would do, i{m guessing you are gonna build the box inside the trunk right??

  4. okay...i bought an AQ hdc3 18" and it will be here tomorrow. i have all my mdf, glue, etc. problem is, i don't have a box design yet. i was told to check ram designs...did that, and got no response. then was told to pm ray...did that, again no response. what is the deal? does no one want to design a box for me or what? i'm starting to lose faith in finding a designer in the forums. can anyone recommend anyone who won't just ignore my pm's? who is actually wiling to design. i'm willing to pay, and i've never had a problem with anyone in the forums, so i don't understand why no one is responding to my pm's. i don't expect to pm someone and have a design that day, just acknowledgement that my email was recieved, and if they are willing to design it or not.

  5. i'm sure the BTL's put in some major work, but those are a lil out of my price range right now. with what i've had, and the setups people around here have, i'm positive i'm going to love the AQ's.

i've never had the opportunity to hear AQ in person, but just seeing the damage they do on youtube, and the price tags got me on the bandwagon. where i live isn't real big on the system scene. and the ones that are into systems all run big box store brands. i can't wait to get it, put the AQ on my window, and watch it "wave" to everyone on the street lol. AQ ftmfw!

    Oh he'll ya underrated

I love when people ask if I have a system in my truck I say 2 audioque sdc2.5 and they always say oh you run off brand then they get a demo and poof there on the bandwagon

I liked the way my AQ 18s sounded, but they dont even start to compare on how good by BTLs sound.. but im sure your gonna love your AQ i did for the time i had them!
