  1. I live only a few minutes from Granite Falls, Washington. It's been deemed the Meth capital of the US from what I've heard. It baffles me how much money is in drugs. But at the same time, I'm not surprised.

Central, Southern, and Eastern Wichita is pretty bad in terms of Meth. It gets even worse in some of the smaller towns on the outskirts such as Peabody, Lyons, etc... My buddy lived next door to a narcoleptic Meth dealer. When I said lived, I meant my buddy still lives there. The dealer's narcolepsy kicked in at the worst time and a couple guys walked in and unloaded a .357 in the dude's face, looted his whole house, and took off.

  2. I just lay a good solid bead and rotate my clamps every 20-30 minutes or so to make sure all of the glue gets an even spread. I use CA water-based adhesive my supplier makes, works incredible and I can use it for the spider landing, surround to cone, surround to basket, and dust cap to cone. Really nice stuff and doesn't cure extremely hard like a lot of adhesives.

  3. I used to be hardcore into MX, 3 days a week I was in the gym, the other days I was out practicing. I had been sponsored a number of times and eventually landed a sponsorship deal with a local dealership who had helped me pay for those parts and services. Then, I was running about 3rd place in 125A and overshot a triple by about 30ft, landed on flat ground from about 20ft up, blew out my rear shock, compressed my spine and slipped the disc in my L2 vertabrae, shifted my pelvis, and got ran over. Haha doc pretty much told me if I took another back injury I'd be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life.

  4. sick yz!!! yeah i have a 1990 yz125 now, its old but gets the job done, but i might be getting my friends 2003 cr250 for a sweet deal! but yeah my finger literally looks like nothing happend, its just two or three stiches holding the a small piece of the tip of my finger on, looked a lot worse when i first saw it and the doc said i wouldnt need stiches except i have a lacrosse game next weekend and he said it would hold it in place better

Thanks! I loved the '96 - '01 YZ's, but I liked the updated aluminum fram on the '06+, my '99 had the steel-tubed frame and it gave me armpump really bad from all the vibration. She dyno'd 38.6HP at Nmotion, one of the fastest ones in town!

I sent my motor off to EBR motorsports to have it completely re-worked bottom to top. Threw in the 144cc big bore kit, port and polish, huge carb, etc... Then I had the forks and rear shock sent off to Pro Circuit to have it re-worked and setup for my weight and preference. Suspension alone ran me $5k! I easily had over $12k into this bike and it was absolutely SICK. I wish I still had the video of it

  5. I'm still young, I'm still learning, but my life has been pretty crazy!

Born in Sacramento, CA, in 1993, I had an awesome life growing up until my parents started fighting. Their fights were extremely violent, both verbally and physically. They got a divorce and since most of the family on my mom's side lived in Wichita, we moved there too in 2000. My grandpa is the one I can say got my hooked on car audio, he had such an impact on my life because he taught me everything I know today car related (welding, bodywork, electricals, etc..) and on October 13, 2003, he was killed when our garage exploded due to a leaky furnace. The crazy thing is, I was about to get out of school 20 minutes prior, and that was the first place I always went to after school.

Fast forward to 2010, my grades were dropping, I increasingly became less interested in school and more in audio, and was working part-time at a local Sonic Drive-in. They cut me off the payroll and my life really plummeted from there. I had questioned many times if I was just a burden to those around me and wondered if I was just better off dead. I dropped out of school, lost everything, and was selling everything non-audio related that I didn't need to buy my bud. All I did from then was grow, sell, and smoke bud and play Call of Duty online. An amount of grams that increased per day, all day every day for 12 months. My life was an absolute wreck. Then, I decided it was time for something new. I stopped smoking (the nasty habit of cigarettes stayed with me though) and decided to get back into school. Fast forward to this day, I'm enrolling to get my GED, get into I.I in Daytona Beach, FL, and I'm starting my own line of subs!

Every day is something new and something I look forward to now and it's just a Godsend to know that there are people out there like myself who find such a passion in car audio. I may not have that many posts or been here very long, but to me the forums feels like family.

  6. First SMD listing for this guy! :woot: Anywho...

Item(s): (2x) Memphis MClass 12" subs, 300w RMS / 600w Peak, SVC 4-ohm. The MClass is the best line of subs/amps that Memphis has to offer, far above the PR (Power Reference) and SR (Street Reference). The next step up from these is the MoJo's.

    Model #'s: 15-MCP12S4

Details: I love these subs, they blend really well with my components and with the right power and box, could get pretty loud. I only had them on approximately 413w RMS (they've never seen more than that) and I could be heard from 3 blocks away. On 30hz, they would flex my dash and make my head unit bounce around.

    (Each sub rated individually)

    Appearance/cosmetic: 9/10, 10/10

One of the subs upon further inspection has a very, very minor indentation on the cone. I barely noticed it while I was taking pictures if that tells how big it is. The bottom of the mounting gasket has some small indentions on it, but you won't see it anyway! Other than that, they are in immaculate shape. Not a single scratch on the motor(s), basket, nothing.

    Mechanical condition: 9/10, 9/10

The only reason I put 9/10 for both is due to the fact that they are used subs. Don't let that turn you away though, the spiders are still stiff. Not worn out and floppy. They have never seen more than roughly 210w RMS a piece (413w RMS was the most ever ran to them). Overall excellent condition, if I had the space for them I would keep them.

Additional details: The enclosure I had them in was 3.0 ft^3 @ 33hz, I have box recommendations from Jim @ MemphisCarAudio.com if you would like me to send them along. They're both on eBay and Craigslist right now and if one or both ends up selling, I will update. I have not done any online selling for items this big, so I'm not sure how much shipping charges will cost.

Reason for selling: I do not have enough space under my seats to give these subs the correct amount of airspace. Not to mention, my stepdad uses my truck for work sometimes and he thinks they are way too loud for him. I plan to sell these to pre-order two of the SA-8v.2's, seeing as they don't need a giant box to perform well with my amount of power.

Price: Looking to get $320 for both. My pre-order total is going to be $270 and I'd like to have some left over to replace my power and ground wires. I need these gone before the SA-8 pre-order deadline!

Here is the indentation. It is very, very small and probably not noticeable unless you're looking for it.

  7. Thanks for all the suggestions guys, I have a few perfect sized boxes out in my garage right now and a lot of bubble wrap and foam peanuts! (I work at a furniture warehouse)

Heading over to the for sale forums now, I just wanted to be sure it was ok if I shipped the subs a different way before I posted.

EDIT: I'm searching for another soft material to use instead of relying solely on packing 'nutz and bubble wrap.

  8. I'm trying to sell my subs FAST! Before the pre-order deadline on the SA-8v.2's. My only problem, I read the thread in the "For sale" category on how to properly ship a sub. I have neither the tools or the extra wood laying around to build a proper shipping container for one or both of my subs. Is there any other way I could package these up? I don't do a lot of online selling, so I was wondering the next best way to ship these out? Thanks guys!

  9. I had a similiar incident. I received a payment from a sale on eBay and my funds were "pending" for what was supposed to be only 21 days... A month and a half later, still "pending" even though I did everything they asked to get them released ASAP. 100% positive eBay feedback, shipped the item the same day I got the payment, no conflicts over eBay, the whole 9 yards. I haven't used my PayPal account since then and I plan on closing it soon. eBay and PayPal have jacked me around so much I completely stopped using them.

  10. I lost my dad due to a jealous ex bf. its a never ending cycle. 3 on 1 i agree its not fair. 2 on 3 they will come back and be 5 on 2. and this will go on till someone winds up in jail for assault or dead.

Sorry to hear about your dad man. A bunch of pu$$ies if you ask me, & fighting over a girl, wtf, I mean there's more chicks out there! Dudes are so pathetic sometimes..dry.gif

    Thanks man.

July 2012 will 17 years, and I still miss him. I wish my kid's could have meet my dad. But stupid fights of a chick took that away from my family and me.

And the problem we had went on for a couple months.

I say this. Your bro's pride might be hurt but he's alive. He's still dating her he wins. And let karma take care of it. Its a lot funner to watch karma work than to miss family or end up in jail for a bit of time.

Twiztid, I am sorry for your loss. I couldn't agree more, he still has the girl so he wins and it is  and a good movie to watch karma take over.

I'm the type of person that doesn't resort to violence and I've had my share of ass whoopin's, but I learned from it in more than one way. It's better to talk out the differences but until someone throws the first swing, I try to keep the situation under control. If it does get out of hand, there's another thing I learned from my previous beatings and it's how to defend myself and well.

I had an altercation a few months ago where some "cowboy" thought I was calling him out, I hadn't ever seen this guy in my life or talked about him at all, next thing I know he's throwing bows. Long story short, I didn't take a single hit and he caught up with me in the parking lot and apologized.

Just don't land yourself in jail bro and remember... "Men talk out their differences, boys beat them out of eachother."

  11. Thanks man, I just finished filling out and returning 14 apps yesterday so hopefully I can stick one of these. Just to hold me off a bit I've been advertising on Craigslist for box builds. Every once in a blue moon I'll get a nice fiberglass build and that'll last me about a month. Being broke does have it's benefits though, I've learned how valuable money can be and how to really spend efficiently.

I understand that, I've talked to the dean from the school and it seems to be worth every penny, so of you end up going that in itself will help you out tremendously

It's a pretty for-sure thing. It's just gonna take me a little time to get there. With the MESA certification and the MECP basic certification I plan to take in a week or so I should have no problems getting a job in a shop. I have a pretty wide knowledge of what I'm doing now, but most of it is theoretical. I don't have a whole lot of hands-on experience and that is something that I would definitely gain at I.I since a lot of what I know either came from the SMD forums or bcae1.com haha

  13. I understand your hardship, I have aprox the same income right now, paying for a house, and support my wifey (has no job).. So I alone pay for Everything.. Alon with fundin my truck.. Quite the task, but parents said they would take care of my bills and expenses here if I actually provided means of gettin in and paying for it.. Soo my fingers are crossed for my trip to sbn this year

It's tough out there right now, no joke. It's especially bad in my city, I live in Wichita (known as the air capital of the world) and so many employees including people from assembly lines all the way up to engineers are working at fast food places now scrubbing the shitters due to the extreme amount of unemployment from Boeing, Cessna, LearJet, and a few other places.

I worked at Sonic when I was 16 and they took me off the payroll without notifying me and I still have not found a job. A year and a half later, here I am with a count of 9 interviews with no luck.

  14. I will taking a tour of the school come the time I head down for sbn, I gotta crunch the numbers and see if they can help me figure out a way to afford it.. If it goes thru I will be staying at my parents summer place in southern daytona 15 min away..

Oh yea this school is $9700 board included or 8900 without board.. Only downside :(

They say they will help you get into the school while applying for financial aid and stuff like that. I don't think it'll be too tough for me to get loans or grants seeing as my mother, sister, and myself live on $1,000 a month. Lol

  15. We all make mistakes are this age ( I'm 17) i think its how you fix it and go about it the second time that matters other than what you did wrong. Good luck and i feel the same way about college. I might look into attending this course as well. Everyone says i need to do something i like. well i think i found it. Pm me sometime and we can talk this course and give me some info to what you learned. Good luck man i wish you the best of luck.

Thanks man, I'll shoot you a PM sometime. I've just grown tired of the lifestyle I've gotten into, most of my friends are either working or in college while I'm sitting at home with nothing to do, no money, scrounging change from under my couch cushions to help support my habits (literally addicted to Monster Energy, Marlboro Smooths, and tattoos). I was always kind of the underdog, the black sheep, if you will, of the family. Always getting dealt the bad cards. I want to change that so desperately and I know if I can do this, it's going to change my life for the best.

Hey man sounds pretty cool good luck to you! where is it at??

The school is located in Holly Hill, FL. Right down the road from Daytona Beach! I also caught wind that iASCA is going to be there Spring Break.

I have looked into going to the same school. But i am already at a University and dont want to stop going to go down there. but maybe after i graduate i might do it. :)

It seems like an awesome school and I have yet to find a bad review on it!

I am the same way . I think its because im the oldest out of my siblings , like the test one. I know how that is. I have no plan for college after high school which im half way through senior year . I am going to def, look into this school. Im up in minnesota but wouldn;t mind moving.

For all that's included in the tuition, it really doesn't seem like a bad investment. It's almost as if it pays for itself! The website is www.installerinstitute.com, from there you can have them send you an information packet and you will some calls from the faculty every now and again. Hell even if the school doesn't work out for you, look at the location! What more could a teenager want!? iASCA competitions, fine ass women, awesome weather pretty much year round, I mean it's like paradise almost!

  17. It looks good! I have a very, very simliar design I drew up about a year ago. It's the same concept as yours, only mine is an hourglass with angel wings and a wrap-around banner with the quote. Just waiting on the funds to have it done professionally. No more garage tatts for this guy! Already had an incident with a misspelling... Hahaha! I'll have to post a picture of it, I know I'll get sh!t for it but it's been fixed already.
