  1. Well it is nice to have something to listen to besides the drone of the four wheeler after riding all day, but that is a bit much for me to put on my wheeler when I am riding....My wife likes to ride on the back so, that wouldn't work....Smaller subs and amps would make this thing much smaller and more practical. Also probably using water proof components and HU would be a good idea too.

  2. I need a 500-1200 watt RMS amplifier in the following brands.

JL, RF, AQ, DC, SA or something of that nature. As long as it is one of those brands, I don't really care as long as it is in good shape and works. I would really like to have an AQ 1200 or RF t500-1 or something like that.

It will be pushing (1) RF T1d212 sub for now, and I would like room to add on or upgrade. Which is why an aq 1200 would be nice.

Let me know, via PM please. Looking to spend less than $200

  3. SO it isn't as extreme as I wanted it to be, but it has bass. I am waiting on my AQ amp, either from the classifieds, or straight from AQ. I have a cheap amp hooked up right now and it is in a sealed box....A Rockford T1 12D2....Hits good and loud, even wired to 4 ohms, once I get my new amp, it will be 1ohm and hopefully I will be getting it in a ported box before long. I will post pics when it isn't storming outside...

  4. Can a mod or someone please close or lock this thread? My blazer is not getting worked on any time soon. I just got a 92 jetta for a work vehicle and the blazer needs a ton of stuff done to it. Here is a list of things that have failed within the last 30 days or just need changed or replaced.

    Brakes, front and back, again

    Shocks in the front

    Front CV or half shaft

4x4 has no high range, just low

coolant system is taking a shit

plugs wires coil, basically whole ignition system needs upgraded

Suspension basically is shot, front and need factory rear lead springs

    Body is starting to rust

There is more, I just don't want to think about it. It is getting parked for the summer and returned to OEM condition, or better than it is now...because I need it for the winter and stuff like that. My wife plans to drive it this fall or winter, so it needs to be in good running and working order before I even think about putting a stereo back in it.

I just got a 92 jetta GLI that has some potential, and I may be working on that sooner rather than later. Probably put a small system in it, just to hold me over...

    Anyway, mods, do your thing.

  5. Drop that bish...the wheels deserve it! Exhausts do make a little more road noise, but the trade off is worth it because of the power gain. You can gain upwards of 30HP with a good headerback exhaust on the right car. More air in, more air out, more power. But I would do the drop first, just don't overkill it, or it will be a pain in the butt going over anything resembling a bump in the road.

  6. Okay, here is the deal. I no longer know if this build is going to happen. If I get this new job, my truck is getting traded in on something else a little smaller but much NICER. So, I may have to hold off on this....but if not, here is what I have once again.

    MDF-Tomorrow morning!

Still waiting on my check...hoping that it clears soon so I can at least get my subs and amp...I have a friend who is going to hook me up with some 1/0 wire so I can do my big 3 and also, after doing a bit of research, I found an OEM higher output alternator that "should" suffice til I can throw $500 bucks at one. AD244 alternators out of stock chevy trucks will direct swap in place of my factory little guy. So with that said, for 80 bucks I am basically doubling the alternator power. Along with the new optima battery, it should hold up for a little while. At least long enough for me to power it and tune it, I do not plan on bumping it hard until I get another battery in the back and get the rest of the stuff I need. I also plan on using a soundstream BX-15 to clean up the bass a little bit. I have been traveling all weekend and it has been raining, so my truck still looks like bucttcheecks but, monday, when I start building my box I should be able to get some pictures up. If I need to redesign the box for my new car if and when that happens, then so be it...I just want to bump already. I hate this waiting game!

  7. Summitracing.com has them but you are going to pay full retail price+shipping for them...gets a little pricey. Hit up amazon.com you can normally get deals on stuff on there plus cheap or free shipping. Xs batts are probably the way to go. I know Deka batteries last for freaking ever too, as they make the lift batteries in the plan I work at. I would probably go with XS though...They stand behind their products.
