    Average cost to replace Coil?

for the new tdx version retail $600 to $700 but, online stores tend to sell them for $300 to $400 These are the original TDX's from 2002, which is why I would rather fix plus they look pretty cool in my fiberglass box!

    Yes, the prices include parts.
  3. So there's this guy who repairs subs in my area. Every time I call him to ask for a quote on a sub with a 3" coil it is $110 and the subs with a 4" coil are $150 to repair. My question is: Is this good pricing? I am wanting to repair my 12" Diamond TDX (3" Coil)

Need My Sub Repaired! Please Help!!!

Both are still really stiff, I would say the suspension is like new on both subs, so that's really not something i'm worried about. I just need to find someone around here who can repair it for me. I mean I'll repair both if needed I don't care. I just want them back in my trunk!!!
  5. I've got a pair of diamond audio tdx 12's and one finally gave out! Any good repair guys in the Phoenix, AZ area? I really want to keep these!
  6. Touche. And in reality OP, depending on how much your system grows, you are going to want a bigger alt, and a better battery. Those caps arent going to help much with what you have, but don't listen to us Well since im not going to be returning them, since there is a 30% restocking fee. Does this diagram look about right? yes Kool. Thanks A lot!!!
  7. Ordered the caps 2 days ago... just started this 2day... moron listen, if you want help you cant be callin ppl morons. or else no one will help you. now i understand you ordered the caps already. but with stock electrical they are only goin to hurt your system. sell them/return them and order 0 gauge and get a small batt like a khc600 Well most of these ppl are no help one shop says I need a battery, another says I need a capacitor, another says I need a capacitor for each amp, another says I need a larger alternator. Seems like they are all just trying to get my money so I am just trying to do it myself... Nickel's worth of free advice... Don't ask shops for advice. Your best bet is to find someone who knows their shit (that's why you came here) and when you hear something you don't like or don't understand... ASK WHY!!!!! There is a real goddamn reason why the guys on this forum tell you the things they do, and that's because these guys have the experience. If you want to know how to SELL car stereo go ask a shop. True That, True That... What a waste of gas!!!

  13. Can Someone Draw It Please?!?!?
  14. Its just that I already ordered two caps online, so they are on the way already... just didnt know how to wire 1 or both them using my setup... well if you already ordered them them put them in after the distribution block as close to the amps as possible. sending one + to each and one - to each and then to the amp then from the + of the caps to the amp and the - of the caps to the amps Whoa Whoa Whoa!!! Can you add that to my drawing please. lol!!!
  15. SO FUCK THE CAPS THEN JUST HOOK UP THE SYSTEM?!?!? NO UPGRADES?!?!? The problem is I had dimming lights with 1 RF t-500-1bd & Kicker 2 12" cvr's!!! I NOW HAVE 2 t500-1's and 2 12" MTX 9500's!!!
