What is this big system your installing?

They do get loud for sure but the SQ is lacking just a little. The box is good to go!

But whats the difference? Output increase by a average of??? Deeper, clearer bass by????

I want to know what amp and what electrical upgrades you have

For folks that have heard both. 90AMP factory alt Big 3 1/0AWG Kinetik 1800 under the hood 1/0 to a Kicker ZX1000 3.5 shared chamber 36HZ 2 12 Alpine Type Rs(now) 2 12 DC Level 3s(on the way)

I'm pretty sure but not 100% its the baffle. the box is a shared chamber single port 42 wide 10 high and 20 deep. sub up port up. they sounded great for the first 3 hours so would it have bottomed out then?

Kicker ZX1000 birthed at 1200, gen 4 type rs, Kinetik 1800 under the hood, Big 3 with Knu 1/0,factory 90 amp alt, 1/0 to the amp, 10awg speaker wire.

I'm about to say screw it and send Dave the box guy or Pro-Rabbit a request

The box is built for the DC lvl3 order I'm waiting on. Could the Type rs be so much different spec wise that it would make that kind of difference

No bass boost and gain set with a oscope. box is said to be tuned to 36hz with 3.6 cubes before displacement.

I didnt spend 600 on just the box.. I thought for a minute the subs where shot. And its not about box making skill it the fact I own a condo so therefor nowhere to display said skills

Its been done for a few weeks waiting on subs to arrive.

Kid... Pretty sure I could be your dad. I'm impatient, it kind of goes along with my job. And this is a site full of knowledge so I didnt think it would be that hard.

I had a shop build my box for 2 dc lvl3 12s.. 42x10x20 up firing, I installed 2 alpine type rs while im waiting for the dc. They didnt put any bracing inside the box but it is 3/4 MDF After about 3 hours of play for the subs and box I started hearing a loud popping, slapping something sound on certin tones and songs. not all just some like "On my level" with wiz and too short. I freaked out and took everything out and checked it. it all seems fine. i think one sub was a little loose, after trying it again the same happened but now it was worse. I had a friend put all his weight on the center of the box between the subs and it got better with the more he pushed. Is it leaking, loose? 50 pounds of sub made it come apart? Or is it the new less then 4 hours of play time subs? Like I said, some songs with higher tones sound just fine

Dual 2 for a 2ohm final load

I got 2 12 Lvl 3s heading my way and I got a great deal on a Kicker ZX1000.1(1244RMS @ 2Ohms). My question: Will this amp make these subs sing? I'm upgrading from 2 JL W0s on a 500 watt alpine in a prefab. The DCs are getting there own box made but the largest I can get is about 3.2 internal shared single port... All I want is enough SPL to flex the windshield and make the sun visors jump!!! Also has anybody fired up or heard a up-fired sub in a Scion tC?
