  1. I plan on running a 3.5k at 1ohm on a 12v setup with two level 4 18s (rms at 1400), with the proper electrical (multiple batteries, 1/0, big 3, h/o alt) will that extra 350watts per sub affect it in anyway? I know these subs can take a beating but Im making this a daily setup and want to consistantly hammer on it without having to worry about the coils getting too smelly or the subs blowing or whatever. I'm walling them in a 04 extended cab silverado.

  2. If its a wall you do have the space for 4 18s

Just because I've never done one before and haven't really looked into it much but how would I get enough cu ft out of a walled box for 4 18s that require 6cu ft a piece (24cu ft) I don't understand, I've seen people and YouTube videos of people with 4 walled 18s in extended cab trucks but I don't get how you get the air space.

  3. If its a wall you do have the space for 4 18s just have the seats forward alittle but if you do 2 18s I wouldnt wall it I would do below the window line.

Would I have enough space? I ran a level 5 18 on a 3.5k and had it in a 6cu ft box and it took up a good portion of my back seat area. I also like to have my seat kicked back a little and intend on keeping it that way. I'll try to find a picture of my old setup

  4. You do need to brace the roof on that truck. Are you set on a wall? You can fit 2 18s below the window line.

I'm not set on a wall but I'd be down to do one and my buddy is going to be helping me build it. We were looking up specs and I need 12cu ft for ported so we figured walling it would be easier and would double as a brace for the roof.

    Why not 4 18s?

    Why not two 18s?

    Not enough air space

  7. So I bought another truck (haha) a 2003 extended cab chevy silverado and am keeping this one for a while and after talking to my buddy about system ideas we came up with two level 4 18s on a 3.5k walled tuned to about 34 hz, if anyone knows about these extended cabs the roofs are like tin cans so with dynamat and the wall for the subs we figured it would brace the roof and not flex as bad. Never done a wall setup so if you guys have some ideas that would help!

  8. Sold my lowered 2005 Chevy Silverado along with the level 5 18 and the 3.5. I have a quad cab 2004 now and don't have a lot of space behind the seats or virtually any underneath so with that being said I've been thinking about doing a rear center console system of two 10s. I don't want to push more than 2,000 watts and have been looking at sundown and arc amps. I love dc subs, what are some of your guy's opinion? I've had the truck for a little over a year and I need to start a system like now.
