  1. I have the pioneer avh3200 and i love it. higher quality than other double dins i had which were jvc, dual, and off brand...

Looks nice, very clean. I would get it, of course, but I don't have 350$. At least that's the lowest I could find it on a quick google search. Thanks for the suggestion, maybe if I get a job soon, I can afford that.

Ebay has them for around 300$

  2. Well it is nice to have something to listen to besides the drone of the four wheeler after riding all day, but that is a bit much for me to put on my wheeler when I am riding.... My wife likes to ride on the back so, that wouldn't work....Smaller subs and amps would make this thing much smaller and more practical. Also probably using water proof components and HU would be a good idea too.

    No front rack?

  3. But since I have to run 0 wire to the distro block and then run 4 to both amps, wouldnt it just save me time to run 4g straight from the batt? seems like im making more work for myself.

Dude its not rocket science to run 0g and then a distro to get 2 4ga out of it. Honestly if you can afford the 0g id say get it now for future expansion. Hell i changed my system so many times in one year that i went with 8ga, to 4ga, to 1/0 gauge in 6 months. Id say get 1/0, then get the distro block and then get two short runs of 4ga wire. I think you will waste more money to get two runs of 4ga from your batt to your amps than to just run 1/0 with a distro block and then two short runs of 4ga. Plus if you do run two 4ga wires, think of what you may do in the near future with upgrading your subs and amps. I think its better to buy things right the first time around than to keep blowing money on making it right.

jeeeese sorrry :peepwall: distro block it is...

  4. Hey all!

My name is Zane Clossey. Currently serving in the US Military. My dad used to work for Pioneer in the 90's and also was a judge for many car audio competitions. Since I've been in Iraq ( almost done only 2 more months ). Ive been talking with one of my friends who knows a lot about car audio, so I decided I wanted to build a system. For about 2 months now I've been reading/researching/cramming my brain every time I get a chance. Ive been slowing buying my system and components and other doo-hickies for when I return I can start right away. Some of you notice I have had a lot of question threads, but believe me, I only post when I cannot find a straight answer!

Anyways, I hope to become a long time member here, and as I learn more, hopefully at some point I can share some knowledge I have learned. Hope to see you guys around the forums, looking forward to it! :drinks:

  5. If I was to use a reducer - http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=SSGR0

and amp only fits 4ga. would it hurt the amp any running 1/0ga to it with a reducer?

Hey Hey... put the Gun down and then we can talk.... lmao... :drinks:

Now why would I shoot the people who have turned a person who knew NOTHING about car audio, to a person confident in building their own system in a matter of months?

    I love this place

  6. Would the Alpine MRP- f300 suffice? the speakers are rated 110watts RMS each side, so that times 4 is 440watts RMS total for the 4 speakers, and the MRP-f300 is rated for Per Channel 50ws @ 4ohm.. would that be under powering them? Which amp would be best for this set up

  7. So

    2 Alpine Type-R's 2 OHM

    2 Alpine SPR-60C Speakers

    1 Alpine MRP-M1000 and 1 Alpine MRP f-300

anything else you guys would suggest. ( besides batteries ) and this is almost going into a 2007 Honda Civic

and I really do appreciate your guys help. Im currently in Iraq and coming home soon and just trying to get everything ordered for when I get back and you guys have been a great help.
