    IMO JL audio is a great company, if you can't afford it then stop bitching about how it's way overpriced, yes there is other stuff out there that is cheaper and maybe louder or have better sound quality, so what? doesn't mean JL is shit, hell if I could afford it I would love to have a pair of 13w7's in my car but I can't afford them, doesn't mean I go around the internet bashing some company just because I can't afford their high quality stuff.

    :lol: and whos to say i cant afford them because thats basically where ur going right well think again i can im jus not gonna spend a arm and a leg on something i can get for alot less that is just as good and well my point is that you can get equipment that is just as good for alot less money

    LOL you guys crack me up....sure there is ppl out there that think JL is superior to all other brands but that's because JL is a BRAND NAME and its also usually shop owners who sell JL so of course they are going to hype it up.

    Of course ppl who aren't on the forums like this don't know what RE, Fi, SA, DC, DD, etc are. Stop being douchebags and getting on ppls lines for running they equipment they choose to run. Not everybody wants loud ass bass, some ppl especially older ppl just want some good SQ bass so they go to their local shop and choose what they have.

    Also, boxchevy, you are a retard saying "he thinks JL is god" quoting a post where he clearly says he knows other brands are good and some are better.

    W6's have been the only sub I like from them is the w6's they've always seemed to do good. The amps also have been real good and not really many problems out of them. If the internet didn't whore out all the audio equipment from wholesale sites JL would be well worth the money.

    so if there so good lol why dont u have them instead of the fosgates that are listed in your sig :peepwall:

    Never said they were better than my rockfords lol I believe they're worth the money as well plus I don't sell JL but I install it alot and people rarely have problems from the W6's or the amps I see a ton of blown W3's and the highs just haven't impressed me. This doesn't mean I don't think brands like DC Ia Sundown aren't good or better.

    The only JL sub worth a damn is the W6-W7 line, they arent meant for output, they're made for sound quality, and for the price, they do the job, you guys arent SQ guys, so i wouldnt expect you to understand.

    where i live they want it banging they dont care about how it sounds as long as loud on the outside of the car lol i would rather have it banging on the inside then the outside and they wanna put as many subs in anything as they can

    but seriously if he had a good box he could very well be louder than you it all depends. Jl is very good, people are just to cheap to pay for it.

    and that xcatly what i told him i said yea it would be lol i have nothing in my car the sx were in 6 or 7 cubes tuned around 34 hz or so internally braced and all it was hitting good anyone that sat in it didnt think i had 2 12s they thought it was 2 15s

    so me and my buddy were talking a little bit ago and it was a normal conversation until we start talking about sounds. he swears by jl audio and im anti jl audio ive heard it and i dont like ive heard it in my car and others and still dont care for it. he goes on and on about all these patents and blah blah blah im like dude seriously i hate them and u will not change my opinion about it in my eyes you can get alot better equipment for alot less money. and if it was so great and so loud then why dont everybody run it then he goes on and on ill find this grand prix i did with a jl w7 10 that would be louder then the 2 sx 12s the older style that i had in my car im like dude i find that hard to believe. then hes like well lets do a build off ill buy 3 jl w3s and a jl500/1 and it will out do anything you had in ur car so im like dude really im not gonna even start with you about this shit u dont wanna get me started on building something like that i dont have the time and im not gonna waste my money on some garbage in my eyes yea its all jus mine and his opinion about equipment in my eyes with jl all u par for is the name sorry every body i jus had to vent a little bit what is your opinion on jl audio am i right or am i wrong

    well he does have a point, concrete is an electrical conductor. I suppose it might weaken the magnet some just by giving the electrons some place to go. I might have to look into this further. Remember guys just because you don't notice or can't see it happening doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

    well if you do find something out let me no because i got 2 re xxx,2 re mx,4 p3s and 2 re sx 12s sitting on my floor at the moment lol

    i would try rubbing compound because if u aint careful with the laquer thinner or its a real weak thinner it may dull the paint

    But if you ain't careful with compound you'll burn right through the clearcoat.

    First off, try claying the car. See if that takes it off. If not, I would start with the finest compound you can get. If it doesn't take it off, try going a little more coarse. BE CAREFUL! If you push too hard, use the wrong kind of rag, or work it in too much, it WILL burn through your clearcoat and you'll be effed. I recommend washing the car right before, then running the hose over the area you are working. I've found it works best if you make a 'slurry' of water and the compound. Also, if you're gonna do it by hand, more power to ya; I would get a buffer. I've never used a cheap one, but if you can, get a good one like a Porter Cable. You have to be a true moron to mess up paint with a PC.

    Oh, you could also try a wax and grease remover. See if that takes it off.

    burning thru clear with rubbing compound by hand i highly doubt it with a wheel yes be careful i used to detail cars for a living for a few yrs i never scene it happen by hand.

    I have a 89 Caprice too...where'd you get those door panel speaker pods? Looks good bro keep up the good work and definitely post more pics! What are you using to charge all those alts? I'm rockin a Powermaster H/O Alt and I love it.

    And just a FYI, you can get that radio dash piece in matching wood grain. It took me awhile to find one, but I did and I'm really glad...makes a big difference in the looks.

    Thx bro i made the door pods my self :drinks: . right now for alts i jus got a stock alt thats rewound by a local shop and switch over to a 1 wire it held up great with my 2 1000ds never dropped below 14.2 full tilt at idle but i might have to upgrade after i hook up the crescendos bc2000s we will see i guess and i have another thats just a stock alt to run the car 2 charging systems and the mounting bracket is actually a piece of stainless thats krinkle painted with the plastic trim plate to hold the radio had a real bad prob with skipping before ipods lol.
