3 cubes a woofer is a bit small.. 90% of 15s out like 3.5 4 cubes a piece..id say do 3.5 a woofer..so they would be more efficient on the lower power u plan on using. if you went 4 cubes it might be a bit much for higher power..
them look like some nice ass subs tho
damn let me see what i can do to boost the box volume, other wise does everything else seem fine,
make sure you do like double baffle sub plate and dont be shy with braces.. always use wood glue.. and liquid nails if u wann aget a reall good seal inside
-
yea port area is nice and tuning is nice n low too..
what i hate to see is somebody trying to do a 38 40hz tune and use like 8 inchs of port per cube lol

i run my vvx 12s on a sundown saz 1500 at 1/2ohm..and they LAUGH at it..literally gains set with a dd1 i can play full tilt for 40 -50 mins without break and they are barely warm (normal operating temp)
in 2 weeks im buying a audioque 3500 and going to set gains for a clean 2krms maybe 2500
why a aq3500...bc a local guy has 1 for a silly cheap deal
-
that video shows everything hes got.. actually im gonna admit i took his dual alt set up idea too..
except i used two HIGH AMPS (ebay company) 160amp alts..
-
sometimes we just get to "slap" happy and wanna see what shit can really do lol..
i recently just ripped a spider on 1 of my vvx 12s..due to completely not caring lol... its recone time for both
-
Kenwood's aren't really 'bad', they actually flex my roof
And it would seem i may have fried the amp i was using.. guess it wasnt 2 ohm stable for bridging . 60 dollar sub has cost me 200! Some bs, now this thing shall see the 120v, 7000w wall socket!
uhh... most amps aint 2ohm stable bridged.. and on them boss phantom subs they have like a 1.5" voice coil.. thats gonna hold nowhere near 1100 lolololol
-
YES glad to see ur back up and running again...ive follwed ur build since..ehh the infinity 12s i think lol.. sucks that ppl broke in ur ride and stole everything looks like it didnt hurt you any tho!!
u think them recones will last a yr or longer like the other 1s did??
-
start at 325 and then get to the 400 mark.. always gotta be a jew man for sure
-
2x2s would work also for this app.. and take up less airspace also..
double layer top
brace from top to the floor and then from front to back

my cousin has had his redone a few times.. hes got some kinda medical issue idk wtf it is.. but i know hes still got tubes and hes turning 27 this year
-
id buy some1 elses gun if they let me squeeze off 100plus rounds before i paid for it
-
my cousin has tubes in his ears.. had to get em when he was like 12 or so..hes 27now.. he can take a little bass anything over ehh..145s he cant take it..says it makes the tubes move and it hurts
-
ehh id go about 400 425 at MOST just bc it looks liek it hAS a few upgraded parts
-
my dbelectrical alt charges at 14.8 cold and drops down to 14.6 hot.. hell i stay in the 14v range with my current set up
-
damn lol.. 20 more a sheet..in that case then yea.. screw that (to most ppl)..
pretty sure its "real" birch too..
-
5 sheets.. if you make a mistake somewhere along the line or decide to switch it up.. get 6 sheets...
thats gonna be 1 heavy ass box.. 5 sheets of mdf good god lol... id use birch
factor in the cost difference of MDF vs birch in that quantity. 20 bucks more a sheet in most cases unless you get a hookup.
My truck box has at least 8 in it now and will end up around ten. lol.
around me birch is 5 bux more a sheet.. and they way i think of it as.. mdf weighs soo much more than birch.. the extra money u spend for birch..ull get it back in the gas ull save in due time .
i went from a standard 4.5 cube mdf box to the same size birch box.. i literally gained 2mpg..add that 2mpg gain per tank...
-
and u actually felt the need to do this??

^^ thats when you take the spoiler off and seal up the mounting holes.. spoiler is just for looks anyways
-
im the same way i took all my interior trim panels and spray foamed behind them..( all the 1s i could) and when my door panel starts making noise.. i stuff a coat in between the door and seat lol..
im also the type of guy that will NOT play a system if the metal on metal sound is there lol..i sound deaden and foam every install before i even think about adding bass
how do these box specs look
in Subwoofers / Enclosures

i wouldnt sacrifise port area for a tad more volume..i would however tune it a shave higher..maybe 33 34hz..shit if u want to mount the subs inverted.. see if you can go maybe 1 or 2 more inches taller see what that does
