  1. I tried superglue for the coil, and now I know that superglue vaporizes.

I made a sub all out of foamboard and i use the coil and magnet from an old 12 i had it worked fine until the coil seperated from my cone then it just rattled now i have to wait until i get some more super glue to finish my rebuild on it. I made the cone stronger by getting rid of the foamboard supports and using popsicle sticks, and now i just have to glue it back together and it'll be ready to go.

What do you mean you use popsickle sticks to support the cone?? DO you mean you used them to support the foamboard cone?

I used hot glue for all my constucting, (besides the wood) but after I think about it super glue is probably more lightweight.

  2. I built a suboofer before out of wood for the basket, foamboard for the cone, rubber bands for the spyder, 2x2x2 inch N42 Neodymuim magnet, and an imitation leather for the surround. Now I have tried a lot of different types of glues and they all can handle around 50 Watts Rms but when I try 150 Rms the glue always fails. I really enjoy making subwoofers but I am getting nowhere because I can not find High temperature voice coil glue, so if you could show me the way to finding this type of glue that would be appreciated. Also if you have any bright ideas for my homemade subwoofer that would be great.
