Do you think my bd1500 could run at .5 ohms without frying or going into protect??

Wow i heard they needed ported boxes but i didnt think it was that serious i will fix it tommorow the sub is still in the same condition because i only played it for a bit today and realized that i should figure out why it didnt sound as great as it should before playing it any more. Do you have any suggestions on size of port or if i should do a rectangle or tube port? Btw thanks for the help man.

I just built a box my my new sub and i got it all set up today but when i turn the volume up kinda high the low bass distorts kinda bad. And i know my amp isnt cli[pping the sub because this didnt happen on my 15 inch l7. But also my box is sealed 47" width 21" wide and 17" tall and the amp is a rf bd1500.1 the lowest you can tune the amp is 50 hz i believe. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Lol and subwoofer is in title...
