Correct, just research the subs a little and you will find something that attracts your attention. The lvl 3 is a good choice too, im sure more people will chime in but they willl set you on the right track. Just take your time there's no rush to buy, if you do you will regret it later on when your having to upgrade. But good luck gotta get to bed work is gonna come early.

First i would decide if you want a 12 or a 15, then build a box if your able. At the most 100 dollars for supplies and you have a box that is gonna be better then almost any pre fab. Then decide on the sub you want Sundown, DC, Rockford Fosgate, kicker, Etc. Basically just personal preferance but around here youll get a lot of support for brands such as DC and Sundown. I would definitely look into a Sa-12 or SA-15, can be bought brand new for around 200-250. Then a decent amp to power it probably some where between 500-750 watt. Look into audioque which isnt bad from what ive heard, or mainstream like kicker of Fosgate you may be able to get a decent amp from them Then amp kit probably around 50-100 dollars and then just do the big 3 upgrade and i think you would be plenty happy for a nice decently loud system. I would say probably around 400-500 dollars and you would be very excited with your purchases.

Is that 200? for the sub, amp, box, wiring? If so your gonna have a hard time finding anything decent, i would definitely start looking in the classifieds theres some good deals going on but my best advice is to save up a little and do it right the first time cause youll always want it louder once you buy something. Even if you have to buy piece by piece you may be better off doing it slow.

Ya thanks for the replies. I ordered a 3100 last night from xs power so I could get in on the sale. Gonna order the alt next just don't know when.

Hey guys looking for some pricing on some DC subs. I know you cant discuss pricing on here so if someone who is a dealer would pm me or something i would appreciate it, i checked the vendor list in the stickies and the people i messaged a few days back still havent gotten back, im sure there just busy, but anyways was hoping to get a price by the end of the day. Looking to get see how much a level 4 with lvl 5 soft parts would be. Thanks guys.

Ya i knew we cant share pricing, would 4 15's fit with the space i have and still have enough to be ported and everything? Just measure exactly so as soon as i figure out what subvs i can get this build up and running.

Yeah 2500 watts for now 5k later on. Ill have the electrical to back it up so no worries there. My main two were either Sundown or DC...cant decide between the 2 as ive went back and forth so if anyone can recommend one off personal experience let me know. How much are those DC's rated at? The sundowns are 600 rms correct, but are able to handle quiet a bit more? Im on my phone or i would check it juyst takes to long to navigate the internet off of it.

I scraped the idea of a console build and will be doing a full blowthrough on the truck, the box size will be around 21-22 cubic ft of airspace before bracing and port and all that. If its possible i wanna run 3 15's but if not ill stick with too i just need to see if Ram_Designs is able to make a design that will allow three to fit. So since ive never ran 15's i need some ideas on subs. I have a sundown saz-2500 that ill be running and later on will add a second one, so any ideas on what to run?

Yeah ive heard that before i think, so i think you know what your talking about haha. But ill start with the DC alternator and a 3100 and if neccesary switch to an agm battery up front (if mine isnt already one) later on ill add a second 3100 and possibly a third. Thanks again guys.

Alright sounds good appreciate the help. ill be getting the d3100 and the alt. My last question is i have a battery under thd hood which is aftermarket dont knwo the brand though. Should i just go ahead and replace it with an xs battery or will it be fine if i just add the others to the back.

Alright gonna scrap the idea of the two batteries just wanna get in on the sale there having....Later on would it be better to add a second battery on top of the one 3100 and aly or would that be overkill?

Ya forgot to mention its for daily....just sucks that the alt is 500 dollars plus shipping but guess thats the price we pay for this hobby.

Im starting the build on my blowthrough....Down the road i wanna run two sundown saz-2500 but for now i only have one. Not sure what subs yet but if the plans go right on the design gonna run three 15's. I was gonna buy two xs d3100 and put them in the back..Would tjhat be good enough to run the system for awhile until i can save up some more cash to buy a dc 270 amp alternator or should i buy one battery and the alt?

Those are sick, may have to do something like that.....but about half the size and the my paint definitely wouldnt turn out like that. Im sure its gonna be LOUD!

Im trying to figure out the biggest i can go, still being ridiculously loud yet not having to use my whole bed. Gonna get with Ram_Designs for him to design me a box if i could fit 3 15's in there i think that would be nice but the 4 12's would be pretty badass too. Just a matter of what i can fit mostly so well see what happens.

Just took some measurements i have about 64.5 inches wide 18 inches tall and 28 inches deep. That is using from one side of the bed to the other and up to about half the wheel wells. Any idea what to run with that?

Alright i appreciate it, i still have a lot of reading up to do as i havent even messed with building a ported box yet so this whole figuring out tining by port length etc will take some time to learn about.

Would you be willing to sell that design on the 4th order with the 3 15's? I wanna run something similiar to that, i was looking at the 4 12's but if i could get a design with three 15's i would wanna do that instead. How much of your bed will be used on this setup? Let me know on the design if your willing to i completely understand if you wanna keep it to yourself.

Where are you getting these designs made? I would love to run 3 15'2 but didnt know if it would fit? I actually read your build thread last night but didnt realize it was yours until just now. You have definitely had your fair share of different boxesback there, do you have a favorite so far?

Yeah im worried a 6th order might be to big as i would like to keep some of the bed if i could. How many, what size and what brand subs are you gonna run in the new box. Im about to read over your build, i wanna get started on this soon.

Not sure yet, i have one sundown saz-2500 and will probably got another to run with it but im still undecided on subs. I was thinking maybe DC or maybe sundown. Just something that could handle a good amount of power.
