  1. Ok, so I just bought a new kenwood headunit it came with the wiring harness and i matched up the colors to the wires in my 1984 toyota pickup based on the wiring diagram here: http://www.modifiedlife.com/1984-toyota-pickup-car-radio-wire-color-codes/ and the wiring diagram that came with the head unit. but it powers on (i can hear it and i can put a disc in and eject it.) but it wont light up buttons or display anything! please help! not sure what other info to post but yeah :(

  2. Ok so I have a pretty big issue...my friends have the tendancy to wanna crank my stereo up when they know it will blow my subs...only problem is they do it anyways cuz they think it can't hurt...any deck I can get that will allow me to lock my volume at a certain point on it so it can't be blown....

Also how do I know how loud to turn my system up anyways??? I mean I wanna get it as loud as possible but I don't wanna blow my subs or ruin anything so how do I know how loud to turn it up???

    Thanks!!

  3. It depends on the size of you stock alternator. Mine is a 117A, which is pretty big for stock. I would suggest a second small battery in the back just to be certain your proving sufficient power to the amp.

If I do the xs batt in the front(the one u got)...and a small one in the back ( any suggestions on that too? Sorry kinda new to this...) work on a stock alt?

  4. I'd highly suggest a XS Power battery mate... But if your stuck on Kinetik, I would do an 1800 up front and another in the back.

I only have one battery up front :)

Can't afford a second battery LOL

Haha alright thanks man :) will the battery u have work fine for the front without needing one in the back? Thanks man
