  1. yes generally a bigger box will play lows better but with the same port tuning it wouldnt be much of a difference. yeah for your current build you could either change your order to a d4 sub so you can run the aq1200 at 2 ohms for now or keep it d2 and run an aq750 for now and then get another when you get your second sub. if you use the aq1200 with 2 d2 subs then youll only be getting 870 watts from the amp.

  2. no your trunk is perfectly fine and if you build the box just right you will have plenty for 2 12's and with the aq1200, it will do just what you want it to do... a sub box for 2 12s is about 2.5 to 3.0 cu ft total the jl's i know require smaller boxes they're designed to get loud in small enclosures..but not in big.. DC on the other hand can get loud in both small and large. just though i would throw my 2 cents in...

i dont think he should go with the 1200 though because his sub is a d2 so with 2 subs he would be at 2 ohms. OP, i would recommend the aq750 and then when you get another subs, get another amp

  3. Sorry i posted that on my phone so I didnt put too much info about it.

Like I said its at an ATV park so theres gonna be tons of mudding, atv pulls, atv trails, music going on the whole time, monster trucks, freestyle motorcross, and all kinds of stuff going on.

if theres enough interest i could see if we could put on some kind of bass competition! if anyones is from around there and would be interested in competing or helping with it then hit me up and ill see what i can do

  4. here's a design I made for a Boston Acoustics G5 12. Its a 4th order/t-line hybrid tuned to 38 Hz with 1 cube on the sealed side. Let me know what you think of it or if you think itll work good!

edit: if i made it i would put 12" sonotube quarters in each corner
