if you seal them off from the trunk then they will be louder facing forward. otherwise face the towards the trunk

Shipment notification just came to my inbox.
My order has been picked up and is on its way to daddy!!!!
Thanks Ana, Rusty, and Thor for the quick hustle of putting my subs together so quickly. You kick ass!
good to hear! youre getting level 3's right?
-
have you checked out the songs by bigpimpin91 and decaf? they probably have some of those songs already done
-
i can get you the cut sheet if you need it
-
aeros are more efficient so you only need 9-12 inches per cubes
-
if you want to test to make sure it not the headunit just get an rca to 3.5 mm headphone jack and hook an ipod directly to the input of the amp. if it plays without problems then its another problem down the line
-
fi btl 18's need 5-8 cubes, fi btl 15's need 3-5 cubes. see how much room you have to work with and then find out what you can fit. im guess you can fit at least 2 15's if you dont mind walling it
-
Its 10.5 sq in of port per cube and theyre supposed to be flared ported but i dont know how to make them in google sketchup.
-
heres a box to your specs. its 17 high x 31 wide x 21 deep. 2 6" aeroports that are 17" long and i made them stick 6" out of the box to be ported through your 6x9 holes. its tuned to 34.9 Hz and its 5.38 cubes net.

Haha my multi-colored coil
you wont need so many recones if you would stop clipping your music so bad. leave the volume on that headunit around 30-34 and im just going to take a wild guess that your gain is turned all the way up so get an o-scope and tune it or turn it to like 50-75%
-
i would love to do it but i doubt it would happen!
-
Do you just make beats? Pretty much anything with unclipped bass between 25-50 Hz would be awesome!
-
if i had a termlab i would love to test stuff like this but termlabs are way too expensive!
-
it says that parts for level 3, 4, and 5 come in tomorrow or the next day then they gotta build them so probably this week or next week

try using torres box calculator. for the external port in torres just put a huge number in the length of external port section and it will calculate internal dimensions minus the port.

i dont know the difference in sound properties between the two woods but i do know that birch is normally used because it is lighter and slightly stiffer than mdf although about $15 more per sheet i believe.

every model of car has a different resonant frequency. im guessing since this is in the spl section you are talking about an spl box. if its for spl then see if you can find your car here: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/85593-the-resonant-frequency-thread/ and tune your box to peak at the resonant frequency of your vehicle

looks good man. one thing you might want to think about is that jvc headunit probably clips at around 34 volume.

it looks pretty but i would be very skeptical about 1. buying a double din for $300 and 2. buying a non name brand headunit.
