  1. trying for 9 cube net and tuned to 35hz. and i thought about just

spitting it in half and if i do i will end up make a bigger box cuz of the

    port volume right?

Yep thats right. I just made my first box. Make sure you have a long port, or you will gett air sound from the port. Im looking forward to see more.

Yes i have seen your box very nice. I was thinking of this box design box3.jpg

\But i am still not sure. AQ just emailed me that my subs wont be made till late october was disappointed but i cant be to upset about it. just gives me more time to decide and build this box right

  2. Port in the middle adds "free" bracing. Port along the bottom will more then likely lower tuning as the hatch/box will extend the port length.

8.5cubes net 16^2 port area per cube, tune to 35Hz if you play a lot of low stuff. You have 1kw per sub so 4.25net each will be fine.

If you play a lot of Decaf stuff then make a port reducer to drop tuning even lower when you play that stuff. Around 12^2 of port area with the reducer...

Ok so with a port down middle how should i have the subs fire? I would like to achieve a great sounding box that will also get loud. And the decaf is something i will look into i always appreciate peoples love for music cuz i also create my own chopped an screwed music. i just use turntables and other midi devices with different programs. i been doin music for awhile now also. Just heard of decaf from here.

  3. nice:D i would go for 1 chamber 1 sub. just split in half. and tuned to 26 hz. thats what i would do, the boxes looks prettty good :D

how many liters and what is it tuned to?

  4. KenC210 i thought you changed your mind about the AQ's

O i dont know but i did end up ordering the AQ last night sd2.5 15's so right now i am starting to decide on the box dimensions. Cuz AQ sent me an email that each sub will need at an ideal volume is 4.5 each sub. so i am getting input from peeps on the box. like which would be best, for the subs and port to fire up or back or any other type of combination

  5. Audioque Sales Dept to me

Ideal box is 4.5 net cubes per sub. Tuning for good combo of spl/sq is 32-36hz.

So does anyone that built a box for their AQ subs have any suggestion?

edit: i see that AQ suggest 4.5 per sub didnt expect to have to build a box this large for 2 any other point of view?

  6. LOL. i already know if i dont plan on upgrading i will be lying to myself... but yeah the 6.5's i already got are on a 4 channel now. I will get the 2 8's and tweeters tomorrow, so the fedex tracking number says, i will end up putting all speakers to the 4 channel till i get another amp. So would there be a purpose to get 2 new amp?

  7. As long as you don't mess with fade or balance it'll sound fine.

cool thanks bro that made a lot of my headaches go away...LOL i guess i will just have the 8's together and the tweeters together for now till i get another amp. Should i plan on getting a 2 channel or 4 channel? cuz i been looking around and it seems to get an amp that is near the 100wrms start getting expensive. I have seen that i could achieve around 100wrms at 2ohms on a 2 channel amp and see that i could get the same from a 4 channel amp. just it seems to be about the same price. So what would you suggest?
