[DC XL 15 Small box]

So I am going t build a bx for a DC XL 15. I am looking at a box 22x21x20. I am looking at the port being 3.5x13x26. Sub up port back. This will put me on a low side of the box volume so I am wondering how this setup up is for the XL. I will be powering the sub with an AQ 2200

Let us know how you like then. I have some weird resonance in the doors occasionally but I haven't bought them yet because I'm planning on glassing some door pods so I figured I should wait and see how the new set up sounds. But if they work well I might just get some anyway.

To be honest it may not be till awhile I get them put in im just doing a lot of the planning before hand.

Double side tape, mounting hardware that comes with them, what kind of tweeters? Never hard of spray adhering tweeters.

Just curious when I'm ready to place them in their location do i use 3m spray adhesive to get the to stick or is there a different way?

Yes. You sure 3-4" minimum. That would make the box to be at least a 12" depth i have seen boxes with less than that.

So i am looking at getting 3 15's to put in a c-pillar wall in my escape. My question is how far would the cone and surround expand out? Just trying to make sure i leave enough room from the subs to the back seat when its up. I want to start constructing the box but would like to have an idea on the room.

xmax is 50mm one way

Im going to guess if i flush mount the subs the box should be safe for the subs at 2.25" away from the rear seat.

Also should i get them d2 and maybe account for rise or should i not even worry about rise and get them d4. This will be 3 x-15's

So i plan on switching to aero ports on this box. Going to run the 2 dc xl 15's in the box still. So i am just wondering what is the port area for the aero ports? Right now im looking at 8.04 per foot but im unsure because i guess its slightly different then from a slot port.

I liked it better before. This thing sparkles. shiny paint chrome etc. Now the flat black seems to take away from that effect. It still looks good. i just liked the shiny it tied all together for me. ive got a spare grill maybe Ill try this before I decide to do anything crazy.

I agree here... I liked the chrome a little better on the grill. IMO the black cherry didn't go to well with the flat black bumper grill, but as stated its your ride. The rims came out pretty good though.
