Is there a rep on here? i was wanting to see about getting 4 6.5 and 2 tweets. Unless anyone could suggest some good speakers for front stage.
-
Alright great thanks for the input going to get them ordered. I may just do the relays since i wont have to worry about forgetting to turn them off and relays would be easier to hide away.

would something like this work if i have it in between amp and volt meter
-
then blue to turn it onthats was a fast reply thank you... since you have on i would just wire red and black straight to the amp and have to problems right? Just would like some personal experience since i will be getting 4 of them
Edit: There is no blue?
im looking at it now and it seems to not have a blue wire

I just order me some wire3 days ago as well... do you have anything else?

Glad to see it works.. i use the same program.

Wow, that must have sucked. I'm going to make sure the relay is mounted on the amp rack so that incase anything like that happens, it can be easily accessible.
How many amplifiers do you think a remote wire can handle before resorting to a relay? Asking this for future reference for upcoming stereo installs. I have never ran anymore than 3 amplifiers. I'm adding a 4th amplifier that my friend is selling back to me.
I dont want to damage my $1500 navigation unit, so Im going to do it anyway since I'm going to be running LED's in both slot ports, then multiple LED LED strips to light up my amplifiers, crossovers, distribution blocks, and inline fuse holders on my back amp rack. I know LED's dont draw that much current, but I think running 4 amps and all of the LED's would tax that single remote turn on wire.
I would use a relay if it was more then 1 device being powered on.
What bassface says is something you would want to do. You dont want to run to much off the radio remote wire without a relay. The remote wire i believe was intended for a powered antenna which doesn't use or need to much power to make it go up and down

Just a suggestion you would want to click the link above and look into getting the barrier strips. Run your relay post 87 to one side daisy chain the whole side and now you a whole strip of a 12volt source and you could attach anything from there as long its within the right amount of amps of your relay
-
Sounds right to me... Once your radio is on your lights will be on. Now doing that though they will stay on and you wont be able to turn them off, but if thats what you want then yes you could do that.

I use one called youtube converter that I got from cnet. It had the best reviews that I could find. works great. And the quality is good on all the songs.
This one is a long process though

What do you use now?
-
The colors are not so important as making sure the right connections are made. Just make sure the 30 is to the positive to a 12v source, 86 to a good grounding point, the 85 to your switch, and the 87 to what your powering. The ground to your switch i believe is just for the light on the switch but i would put that in a good grounding spot as well.

was that 25 from the center? I am not to sure how the tribute looks but in my escape the center is longer. but i have my box 40x22x24.5 WxHxD and my box is rubbing the hatch.
-
what i would suggest is checking your dimensions to your cargo area again i drive a 07 escape and the depth is not 25. given the tribute is almost the same vehicle. and if you do manage to fit that in there you will need sub and port up because the hatch will be touch the box
-
how are the wires connected to the harness that goes to the radio? Did you just use electrical tape or are they crimped? If they are crimped make sure you didnt crimp them to hard to cut a wire, if taped make a better connection then the tape. Either way sounds like a loose wire

well i dont know the situation but the nicest person but could have that bad day and say something someone doesn't like. Just saying something that severe can't just happen cuz you feel bored, even know that could have been the case as well. sorry for the judgement of your friend but should see all ends
-
The question that should be asked is what did she do to deserve that treatment?

how well do the rustoleum lens spray interact with led lighting or hid's
-
Don't use nightshades for headlights.
Use rustoleum lens tint.
And bassface, have you ever removed either product? Let alone even use them? It's not hard. Let's not give out false information.
i was thinking the same thing... not hard to remove. On another note how is that rustoleum product?

offer yourself as a free laborer at a local shop and use them as a reference later... how many more years you got in school

So i am planning on a 4 6.5, 2 8's, and 2 super tweets on my front stage. I was going for 2 sets of the AQ-mr6.5 and a set of the AQ-ST1 super tweets, but they do not have in stock and no telling when they will be available. Since they are not available i was thinking about just getting 2 sets of there components and running them active. Any opinions on that idea? Also please feel to shoot me some other ideas on speakers that sound good at a decent price.
