That is true,I had a Rockford Amp(the old ugly pewter-colored ones shaped like a trapazoid) and I was hooking it up and like you said a strand of the Neg wire touch the POS wire and it blow the Amp,this why I don`t use RF amps too damn sensitve- voltage -wise,now if ot had been an PPI amp it would have not have been a problem those amp would take a dead short and still would have functioned.First of all it sounds like a poor ground. Grounding to your seat belt bracket is NOT a good grounding spot. A better grounding spot would be a bolt off your strut tower, luggage tie down bolt, or frame. I highly doubt they will cover your amp since its smoked, you should have sent it in or had a professional shop look at the amp and see what they thought of it. If i saw someone grounding to the seat belt bolt i would not cover their product at all. It may be that you crossed a wire on the amp by removing and re-installing the ground wire on the amp so many times. They are not made so you can remove and re-install the amp several times. They are made to be installed and left alone. The more you take the wires in and out the more fragments of wire break off from the screw coming down on the wire and if just one tiny piece of wire crosses a contact between your positive and negative it will spark a fire. No offense and im not trying to bash you but you should have stopped after blowing the first few fuses and asked us for help.

Yes I see the Slot Port Now,was too busy Listening What are the Dims of that Box? and what do you recomend tuning it to?
Hey BeALLsTaR13 are you using an aero port??
You can see the slot port .....
^^^what he said lol
Oh shit man!!!!!!!!!!! I think it broke your shifter and shit =\
lol it just pops back in
Looks good. I'm surprised they are getting that loud not even sealed off.
yeah im surprised their hitting lows like that not sealed off.. im just too lazy to seal it atm lol
nice work, bro. those subs are fuckin beasts. how do you compare the z's to the sa's? im thinking of either getting 2 more sa 15's or just run 2 z-15's
How do they compare to the SA 12s? Louder?
well its fairly hard to compare a "600" watt sub to a "1500" watt sub, especially since the z12s like smaller boxes than the sa12s
these, to the ear are by far louder (havnt metered yet) and anything from 29-38hz it just kills, especially in that 31-34hz range

Hmmmm something to think about thanks Fish Chris.....I guess you could have your port sticking out the front baffle where your subs are mount also.
Correct. I had about 8" of external port in my last setup so instead of having just plastic tube hanging out I built a little "beauty box" to try something new and make it look a little better imo. Without external port, there would not have been enough clearance. Worked well.
btw Cashdollar nice looking like that how does the aero port sound and what is it tuned too how much port area do you have ? sorry for all the questions

how did you calculate port displacement when part of the port is not inside the box?Hmmmm something to think about thanks Fish Chris.....I guess you could have your port sticking out the front baffle where your subs are mount also.

can you actually use a elbow on an aero port? I was informed that it would`nt workThat's why I don't like aeros. To get a good amount of port area you need to use 90* elbows and custom make them to be 20"+ long. A single 6" aero would be the absolute smallest I would go.

what do the Fi BL compare to? I mean would it compare to a SA Z v2? or a SI Mag v3 in terms of low end and output in a ported box off of 2500 watts?Got fully loaded SSD?
im kinda looking for somethin with a lil more bottom end.

that is truei was told it the same distance from the wall as the port is big so............. if u have 4" port its 4"s from the wall if u have a 6" port its 6" from the wall and so on but if this is not correct some feel free to tell me cause i would like to know as well. i heard if u dont put it far nuff away u will get port noise and im not sure of the ether

Hey guys I`m new here....I need some information, I`m in the processof designing a common chamber for 2-12 xls with a slot port. Now what would the internal measurements be in cu.ft.be INCLUDING the PORT and spkr displacement? and how long would my port need to be tuned to 32hz for 68sq in port ?
