  1. what size subs are you thinking about mounting there? if you are trying to put your subs in the same spot your old deck was, they better be some 8s or MAYBE 10s because most decks arent that deep. if you are just wanting to cut it and still leave the subs on a box in the trunk, i dont see that much gain to be had versus just porting through the deck. i jsut did this to my 69 chevelle over the weekend, port firing up through the rear deck.

tapeing the pattern underneath the deck...

view from above, still have a beauty ring that has to be installed to cover the edges

  2. Thanks for the input. I would say for the first week that may have been MOST of it, but we took literally 2 weeks of sealing/bracing/foaming/rodding everything to get it as tight as can be. It looks like I can take the box down to about 19 cubes and just shrink the port by 1/2 inch on each side to keep my tuning the same.

cool. just test it out and see what you get... make the changes reversable so if it doesnt work out you can take them out and tweak it until you get it where you want it.

  3. with the way the box is put together, i wouldnt imagine they are unloading but its always possible. to me it sounds like the box may be a bit on the big side for the power they are getting, or could simply be(though not likely by looking at the build log), that the box is not as air tight as should be.

  4. You guys know any good sites to order 1/0 gauge from? local car audio shops over charge like crazy on their wiring.

good 1/0 isnt cheap, that being said i have used knukonceptz and had good results from them, but i still prefer kicker 1/0 over all others, just my opinion. if you want kicker, sonic electronix has 20ft rolls for eighty bucks and thats enough in a lot of cars for one run and grounds, just need a fuse holder

  5. You dare to defile that sweet, poon magnet of a classic american muscle car with a sound system? Lol. The engines sexy rumble is music enough for me, lol. But it is dd, so it can be forgiven. What engine does it have? Man that's going to be a bad ass ride.

yes, the engines rumble has its own sexy sound, but nothing feels quite like bass haha. thanks ryan for working with me on this one, i got all the cuts made today and hope to start assembly tomorrow

Oops forgot to erasw the first http...here it is.

Here is a super rough draft of the box. Between which points do you suggest the 45?

i just told you in the post above this one.... but once again, in this build its just because you want them there, theres likely no real benefit
