  1. Run zero gauge to the back and hook it to a distro block and get a small length of 4 guage to the amp. Once you get to bumping that bass your going to realize that your speakers suck at keeping up with the bass and your probly gonna want to get a 4 channel to get them louder. I've been there and done that in my Cherokee. Just make sure to fuse your wires after the distro block.

  2. I'm selling my Pioneer DEH-P660 headunit that the previous owner had installed into my Jeep. Theres nothing wrong with it at all, I only took it out because it didn't have an Aux/USB input to hook my iPod up with. Everything worked fine on it when I took it out. It came out of a Jeep Cherokee (1999) and I still have the wiring harness and dash kit to install it into a Cherokee that you can have for free if you want it when you buy it. One of the mounting tabs on the dash kit bracket is broke, but other than that everything works great. Everything on the headunit itself works perfectly. Cosmetically I give it a 9/10, its in great condition. The previous owner of my Jeep really babied it and its obvious that he took really good care of his stuff.

All I want is $25 + shipping for it. I think thats a pretty fair price but shoot me an offer if you think otherwise. Heres a link to it on the pioneer website http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/CD-Receivers/DEH-P660

  3. Yeah you'll be able to fit them. I'm doing 3 SA8 V2s in 1.8 cubes tuned to 32hz. 1.8 cubes is completely doable in your mustang, my sister has a 2001 and she has plenty trunk space. Heres my box for my 8s in case you want to see it.

how do u fit that in the trunk? It's really long. It would be great to have at least some trunk space with a skinny box. It seems like it would be easier to put the box through the backseats instead of the trunk opening.

I was just saying that I had 3 SA8s. My box is for a Jeep Cherokee, much more space. It was just to show you that you don't need many cubes for the subs...obviously you can't fit 42", but you can do smaller as long as you keep close to the same amount of airspace.

  4. i guess i spoke to damn soon, they let me go today and here is the reason, the guy that im replacing has to have surgery next week and they thought next month and he was not in today so they had to have a guy show me some stuff and he went and did his thing, i tried to do what i could and what i knew how to do, i kept asking him questions and all that and i could tell he was getting pissed bc he had to drop what he was doing in order to help me, a guy came in today for a interview and has experince on working machines and blue prints, i couldnt learn all the stuff in a week so they replaced me with him, im soo damn pissed off and feel like i failed..it sucks that they wouldnt take the time out and help me...gotta keep looking again..

What the hell thats just plain unprofessional on their part. They should have known you had a bit to learn when the hired you. Letting you go just because you don't know everything at the start is just stupid. With their attitude to let you go after just one day for something like that, then they probably would have treated you like shit if you stayed and worked there. Don't worry about it just forget them and keep on looking for new opportunities

  5. I would buy my subs and then design a box for them instead of trying to find 12's that will do good in your box. And since stuff costs so much over there, you would probobly be better off going with two more powerful 12's than 4 less powerfull 12s...and then build your own box for the 12s. Of course, you don't have to go with 12s... How much space do you have in your car, and how much power do you want to achieve?

  6. Well everything came in today! Got the subs, sub amp, highs, and highs amp.

Only thing is that we've been having record breaking heat here in VA and I work outside so its hard to make myself do a lot of work after my job. Hopefully I can get down to working on this next week when the heat breaks!

Where in VA are you at? I'm in Lynchburg...its always cool to see who's local to me. And yeah, this heat sucks :/

  7. I want the offload look. So I wanna raise it 3 or more inches.

Great news today. The guy giving me the van is my boss. He has 2 identical as you can kinda see in the pics. Te second one has a tranny that is useless. So he's letting me strip the second one to get any and all parts that I can!

What should I get? I'm taking the wheels. Maybe the alt. all the beat. Maybe seats. What else?

Maybe take the door panels to do some fiberglass work on? Just so like if you mess up you have spares so you don't have to go searching around in junkyards and stuff...

  8. From my limited amount of knowledge...yes. From the Skar site, they say the VVX 8's need .5-.75 ft^3 per sub, so the airspace in this box is .6^3 per sub so that works out. They also recommend tuning at 32 hz, which is exactly what this box is. So, if you're okay with the dimensions and it'll fit in your car then it should sound good. But again, I'm not exactly the best person to ask that question...you might want to get a second opinion before you go building.
