  1. I got my black and decker for ~$35 I believe...it makes decent cuts for a $35 jigsaw. I haven't had any problems with it so far
  2. I run 3 SA8s in a ported box tuned to 32 hz. I run them at .67ohms off a SoundStream TX1 2600.1 for about 2000 watts. I'm extremely happy with them. They get lower and louder than my two 15s I had previously. Haven't put them on a meter and don't really plan to, but they do get loud.
  3. Run zero gauge to the back and hook it to a distro block and get a small length of 4 guage to the amp. Once you get to bumping that bass your going to realize that your speakers suck at keeping up with the bass and your probly gonna want to get a 4 channel to get them louder. I've been there and done that in my Cherokee. Just make sure to fuse your wires after the distro block.
  4. Well...I may be biased...but I have 3 SA8 v2s in my Jeep and they get low running off of 2000 watts RMS. Great little subs IMO
  5. I'm selling my Pioneer DEH-P660 headunit that the previous owner had installed into my Jeep. Theres nothing wrong with it at all, I only took it out because it didn't have an Aux/USB input to hook my iPod up with. Everything worked fine on it when I took it out. It came out of a Jeep Cherokee (1999) and I still have the wiring harness and dash kit to install it into a Cherokee that you can have for free if you want it when you buy it. One of the mounting tabs on the dash kit bracket is broke, but other than that everything works great. Everything on the headunit itself works perfectly. Cosmetically I give it a 9/10, its in great condition. The previous owner of my Jeep really babied it and its obvious that he took really good care of his stuff. All I want is $25 + shipping for it. I think thats a pretty fair price but shoot me an offer if you think otherwise. Heres a link to it on the pioneer website http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/CD-Receivers/DEH-P660
  6. Your mini looks nice, and that box turned out great. Only thing I see is you might want to be careful about that Sundown sticker on a DD...I had one on my Jeep but decided to take it off after I got some negative attention from it.
  7. My dad likes the ideas, but doesn't really like the music. My mom thinks its a waste of money, but says as long as its my money she doesn't mind because its better than other things. My sister thinks I'm an idiot. All my friends love it tho.
  8. how do u fit that in the trunk? It's really long. It would be great to have at least some trunk space with a skinny box. It seems like it would be easier to put the box through the backseats instead of the trunk opening. I was just saying that I had 3 SA8s. My box is for a Jeep Cherokee, much more space. It was just to show you that you don't need many cubes for the subs...obviously you can't fit 42", but you can do smaller as long as you keep close to the same amount of airspace.
  9. Yeah you'll be able to fit them. I'm doing 3 SA8 V2s in 1.8 cubes tuned to 32hz. 1.8 cubes is completely doable in your mustang, my sister has a 2001 and she has plenty trunk space. Heres my box for my 8s in case you want to see it.
  10. What the hell thats just plain unprofessional on their part. They should have known you had a bit to learn when the hired you. Letting you go just because you don't know everything at the start is just stupid. With their attitude to let you go after just one day for something like that, then they probably would have treated you like shit if you stayed and worked there. Don't worry about it just forget them and keep on looking for new opportunities
  11. Glad to hear you got a job doing what you like. I actually got layed off today, but it was from a shitty job so its not the end of the world to me. Hopefully I can find a job that I actually enjoy now!
  12. They are out of stock on those and won't be getting any in anytime soon.
  13. I bought an amp last night so I'm no longer looking to buy.
  14. Hmm...well we have land cruisers, I just don't know anything about prados...so I can't really help you out on getting a HO alt. but then again, I don't know all that much anyway, so maybe someone else can help you. But back on the topic of your system...whats your budget?
  15. I would buy my subs and then design a box for them instead of trying to find 12's that will do good in your box. And since stuff costs so much over there, you would probobly be better off going with two more powerful 12's than 4 less powerfull 12s...and then build your own box for the 12s. Of course, you don't have to go with 12s... How much space do you have in your car, and how much power do you want to achieve?
  16. Where in VA are you at? I'm in Lynchburg...its always cool to see who's local to me. And yeah, this heat sucks :/
  17. are you talking to me lol? i didnt get a pm but lets trade if your talking to me lol No that was for Tyler, sorry for the confusion.
  18. sent you a pm. Lemme know quick right now I'm like 30 miles away on vacation but I leave early Sunday...
  19. Are you trying to buy new or used equipment? Just curious...you never said which you were going with. You can get a lot more power for the same money by going used... if your OK with buying used stuff...
  20. Do you have enough space for 2 18s? I don't know much about caprices...but usually its a squeeze to get a pair of 18s in a sedan...
  21. with those solo X's the bass hits so hard they knock your teeth out. Thats why they also included two mouthpieces.
  22. Maybe take the door panels to do some fiberglass work on? Just so like if you mess up you have spares so you don't have to go searching around in junkyards and stuff...
  23. Theres nothing wrong. I was just posting in the Sundown section to make sure everything would work out great. I just thought that people who had ran sundown products first hand might have a little to add before I started on my first box. There was nothing wrong with your box, I was just looking for more feedback.
  24. From my limited amount of knowledge...yes. From the Skar site, they say the VVX 8's need .5-.75 ft^3 per sub, so the airspace in this box is .6^3 per sub so that works out. They also recommend tuning at 32 hz, which is exactly what this box is. So, if you're okay with the dimensions and it'll fit in your car then it should sound good. But again, I'm not exactly the best person to ask that question...you might want to get a second opinion before you go building.
