  1. is that cleaner the stuff that smells like sharpies? we had that at back when i used to work at a car wash. shit would peel the skin on your fingers...diluted

I've never really thought it smells like sharpies...but it definatly smells bad. Its the strongest smelling chemical I've ever smelled. You have to wear gloves and a breathing mask when using the stuff its terrible. I've thrown up from breathing in a bit too much of it. Hate the smell, love the results. And yeah this stuff will absolutely kill your hands or anything it touches.

  2. Sorry if this is late...but I work as a detailer at a used car dealership, so I see a lot of used cars come in that had previous owners that hated to take care of the wheels :angry22: If the stuff is really stubborn you will have to use really strong chemicals to get it off. At my shop I use a acid alluminum brightener. It works wonders, and can usually clean wheels up extremely fast. Today I was painting my rims black, and while I had the rims off the Jeep I decided to clean the backsides of the rims just cuz. I wouldnt be surprised if it was the first time they have been washed ever.

    Started like this

    Ended up like this

That was after only going over once. I really don't care about how my rims look like on the backside as no one ever sees them, but you can literally get any rim looking great with this stuff no matter how bad it looks now. The stuff I use is industrial strength, and we get it in bulk in like 10 gallon containers...so I'm not even sure if you'll be able to get it...but if you can, its worth looking into.

  3. the system that cost me my license for a while..

    pioneer premier deck- $85

    jensen amp- $40

    fosgate punch z sub- $70

    pyle mids- $33

cheap ass system that shakes your car to the point the tail lights and blinkers fail and gets you pulled over...... $priceless

I've never heard of a car with a system of only a 150 watt sub and pyle speakers destroying a car, but this is the internet, so if you say so, it must be true.

  4. Yarly, why not just buy one for $15 more or so.

i dont think your understanding it...your not spending $125 to rent it...you'll only be spending like $25 or whatever the actual owner is charging to borrow it for a set amount of time. Then when your done with it you send it back to the owner and he'll send you $100 back. The $125 is just a way to keep people honest so that they won't send the owner $25 to rent the dd and then never return the device.

For people like me I like this idea. I have one car and I'm not gonna be changing my system anytime soon. I also don't build other people systems, so I don't think it would be smart for me with my income to go spend $125 on a dd to only set one system with. I'd much rather only spend $25 and only use the dd once, which is how many times I would be using it if I bought it for $125.

does anyone know if you can use an external hard drive to plug in a head unit with a usb interface?

    You should be

USB Port: The Kenwood KDC-248U features a front panel USB (1.1/2.0) type-A port that is hidden behind a flip-up cover. The USB port enables connection and control of a portable USB mass-storage class (MSC) device with MP3 (8-320 kbps) and WMA (32-192 kbps) music files. The USB port is compatible with all USB mass storage class devices that support the FAT16 or FAT32 file system. Your USB device should only have a maximum of 8 folder layers, 255 folders, and 255 files per folder - with a maximum of 65,025 files and folders. USB portable audio players that can be charged via USB will be charged when plugged into the CD receiver's USB port, and the vehicle's ignition switch is set to ACC or On.

  6. i have 6300 RMS going to 2 18s, i have a DC 270 amp alternator, all 1/0 gauge wiring, 3 battery connected in parallel. if i add another run of 1/0 will it fix my voltage drop. it drops from 15.1 to 12.4-13 volts, is KnuKonceptz KCA Red Ultra Flex 1/0 Gauge Power Wire any good?

If you have 6300 true RMS on a 15 volt system, then thats pulling 420 amps. I don't know what batteries you have, and I'm kind of new to car audio, but it looks like you just don't have enough power in your electrical system to start with. You'll need more batteries and maybe another alt.

  7. Don't waste your time at Sonicelectronix. If it's on sale, it's sony, pyle, lanzar, or Fahrenheit.

Edit - Walmart's PS3 starter bundle doesn't look to morbid.

Edit 2 : Title says "tablet" I just saw cyber Monday. But yes as stated below, Kindle Fire is a good buy ONLY WHEN it's hacked with a custom rom to make it a normal "android tab".

I'm gonna buy a kicker ZX 350.4 from sonicelectronix...its only $145...although that was the only good looking deal on the whole sight. Just sayin.
